Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.

    • Welcome to Škofja Loka! We’ll settle into our hotel, enjoy a warm welcome, and go over our plan for the week. Our first day sets the tone for the week, as we settle into this charming medieval town and meet our fellow adventurers.

    • Today we’ll head on an e-MTB tour along the breathtaking Poljanska Dolina, also known as “the valley of meadows.” This biking adventure will take us through picturesque landscapes and offer stunning viewpoints along the way. This day serves as both an introduction to the week’s activities and an opportunity to gauge our comfort on the bikes.

    • We’ll drive to the Kamnik and Savinja Alps for a day of immersive hiking in the green pastures of Velika Planina. The journey begins with an ascent along forest paths, leading to the expansive mountain plateau. As we follow a circular route, we’ll discover the unique architecture of Europe’s largest shepherds settlement, with breathtaking views towards the Ljubljana basin and the highest peaks of the Kamnik and Savinja Alps.

    • Today we’ll relax or opt for activities in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. We’ll have the flexibility to explore the city centre or venture into local hikes. For those seeking additional experiences, optional day trips can be arranged, such as visits to lace and mercury museums in Idrija, Postojna Caves, or the coast.

    • Today’s adventure takes us to the heart of the Julian Alps! We’ll visit Lake Bohinj and head on a short hike to Možic mountain. After a coffee break, we’ll continue to explore the picturesque glacier lake, Lake Bled, which will be our home for the next three days.

    • We will drive to the Kranjska Gora ski resort for a picturesque mountain biking tour. Riding along the former railway line, we’ll be close to the majestic north faces of the Julian Alps. The route includes visits to Planica Nordic Center, Zelenci natural springs, and a cross-border excursion into Italy to visit Laghi di Fusine. A traditional Italian espresso stop adds a cultural touch to our biking journey.

    • Our Alpine exploration continues with hiking above Pokljuka, Slovenia’s largest high alpine plateau. We’ll have multiple hiking options, each with stunning views over the forests of Pokljuka, Bled, Bohinj, Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and Karawanks. If the weather is pleasant, we will hike to Golica mountain, known for its famous narcissi flowers in late spring. The hike is rewarding, with beautiful views of the Triglav group and the Austrian Alps. A late lunch/early dinner at the Garden of Tastes concludes our alpine exploration.

    • On our final day, we’ll take a short stroll for a last look at the scenery. Our guides will escort us to the airport with hopes of welcoming us back to this beautiful destination again.

    • This Slovenia hiking & e-MTB adventure requires a moderate fitness level and some hiking and mountain biking experience. For the hikes, you should be comfortable walking for 6-7 hours per day in hilly areas. To enjoy the e-MTB part of this adventure, you should be able to bike for 5-6 hours per day on varied terrain.

      The hikes on this adventure are moderately challenging, covering well-marked paths through woodlands, upland meadows, and hilltops up to nearly 1,700 m / 5,580 ft. You’ll walk uphill for several hours, with 600 to 1,000 m (1,970 to 3,280 ft) ascent, followed by a relatively level descent.

      The bike routes are suitable for both novice and intermediate riders with moderate fitness levels. You’ll ride on a balanced mix of gravel and smooth asphalt with occasional steep uphill and downhill sections.

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season and activity.

        • For this Slovenia hiking & e-MTB adventure, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 5:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 2 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 10 participants.
        • The tour is confirmed at the latest 30 days prior to the departure date. The tour is bookable up to 60 days prior to departure.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors aged 16 to 18 may be permitted to join the adventure on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

    • The starting point of your Slovenia hiking & e-MTB adventure is Škofja Loka, Slovenia. To get there, most people fly into Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU). Your guides will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel in Škofja Loka. You will receive more details before your departure.
