In order to join this e-bike tour, good fitness is required. The most you’ll cycle in a day is up to 69 km (43 mi), with Day 6 being the longest stage.

Most of the route follows quiet forest paths, meadow tracks, and low-traffic roads with moderate terrain—and thanks to the e-bikes, even the hillier sections in the Allgäu and the Ammergau mountains are very manageable. A support vehicle is always available, so you can take a break from the saddle whenever you need to.

Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

Group sizes and pricing

• • For these Bavaria cycling holidays, there will be two tour leaders accompanying you—a professional cycling guide as well as a driver/guide for the support van.
  • It takes a minimum of 8 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 18 participants, though most departures have up to 12 people + 2 tour leaders.
  • If you’re a solo traveller, you’re welcome to join the tour, but paying for the single occupancy room is mandatory. It is not possible to join the tour solo and share the room with another guest.

Min. age requirements

  • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Bavaria cycling holidays on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

The price for these Bavaria cycling holidays is based on twin-share rooms, but a single occupancy room can be arranged at an additional fee. You can add it to your booking at checkout.

Solo travelers are welcome to join, but securing a single occupancy room for themselves is mandatory—you’ll be able to add it to your booking at checkout.

The starting point of the tour is Lindau, Germany. To get there, most people fly into Munich International Airport (MUC) or Zurich Airport (ZRH). We recommend arriving by train—the station is just a few hundred meters from the starting hotel. Alternatively, we can arrange a private transfer (car or minivan) at an additional cost from Munich Airport to Lindau on Day 1.

You will meet your guide at the hotel in Lindau at 4 pm on Day 1. The tour ends at Lake Tegernsee on Day 8, from where most participants take the train to Munich (approximately 1 hour) or arrange a private return at an additional cost back to Lindau.
