We’ll stay in charming, locally-owned accommodations that welcome us with authentic warmth and style. With plenty of time for leisurely rides and hands-on tastings, this tour offers a unique way to experience the country’s natural beauty and culinary traditions.

    • Our gourmet e-biking adventure begins with an overnight stay in Slovenia’s charming capital, Ljubljana. After checking into the hotel, you can hop on a city bike and explore the historic center—pedal along the riverbanks, cross its famous bridges, and unwind in the leafy calm of Tivoli Park. Don’t miss a visit to Ljubljana Castle for sweeping city views from its ramparts or Outlook Tower. In the evening, we’ll gather at the hotel for a welcome dinner featuring traditional Slovenian cuisine, where you’ll meet your guide and fellow travelers and go over the details of the journey ahead.

      Welcome to Ljubljana
    • After breakfast, we’ll take a short transfer to Lake Bled, one of Slovenia’s most iconic sights. Our day begins with a relaxed warm-up ride around the lake, passing postcard-perfect views of Bled Island and its church, as well as the medieval Bled Castle perched high on a cliff. We’ll pause for coffee and a taste of the famous Bled cream cake before continuing into Triglav National Park. Cycling through the peaceful Radovna Valley, we’ll glide past lush pastures and crystal-clear streams before descending to the village of Mojstrana, where views of majestic Mt. Triglav await. From there, a scenic trail through the Upper Sava Valley leads us to the alpine town of Kranjska Gora. Later in the afternoon, we’ll explore this charming mountain resort before gathering for a well-earned dinner.

    • The scenic cycling trail from Kranjska Gora takes us across the Italian border to the enchanting Laghi di Fusine (Fusine Lakes), where turquoise waters mirror the surrounding peaks. From there, we’ll ride to the Planica Nordic Center and continue into the peaceful Tamar Valley, framed by dramatic alpine scenery. We’ll stop at a cozy mountain hut to enjoy a hearty lunch before an exhilarating descent back to Kranjska Gora and the crystal-clear Lake Jasna, set against the backdrop of the Julian Alps. Later in the afternoon, we’ll have time to unwind and soak in the tranquil mountain atmosphere.

    • After breakfast, we’ll transfer over the scenic Vršič Pass, descending into one of the most pristine valleys in the world—the emerald Soča River Valley. We’ll cycle along the crystal-clear river, crossing wooden suspension bridges and watching kayakers and rafters navigate its sparkling rapids. As we leave the rugged Julian Alps behind, the landscape softens into the sun-drenched Karst wine region, where Mediterranean charm takes over. Our home for the next two nights is a welcoming family-owned wine estate—perfect for relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine before savoring a dinner of traditional local dishes.

    • Today we’ll explore the heart of the Karst region on a scenic loop ride through charming stone villages and timeless countryside. Our route winds past vineyards, ancient dry-stone walls, and rolling hills before reaching the beautifully preserved medieval village of Štanjel. After the ride, we’ll unwind with a wine tasting and a relaxing dip in the pool overlooking the vineyards. In the evening, we’ll take a short drive to the edge of the Karst, where sweeping views of the Vipava Valley set the scene for a special local experience—visiting a small family-run cheesemaker before enjoying a delicious dinner of regional specialties in the same village.

      Cheering Slovenia
    • Today we’ll ride through the sunlit landscapes of the Vipava Valley, making our way to the charming hilltop town of Vipavski Križ, a centuries-old gem with winding cobbled streets and rich local legends. Along the way, we’ll pause to admire and photograph landmarks such as the Napoleon Bridge and the Roman ruins in Ajdovščina. Our cycling journey concludes at a local winery, where we’ll tour the cellar, sample exquisite wines, and enjoy homemade cold cuts. After the tasting, we’ll transfer to the coastal town of Izola, where you’ll have free time to stroll along the seaside and perhaps indulge in a seafood dinner overlooking the Adriatic.

    • We’ll begin our final biking day in Izola, pedaling toward a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the glittering Adriatic. From there, we’ll descend to the Strunjan saltpans—the northernmost and smallest in the Mediterranean—before continuing along the scenic Parenzana Trail. This historic route winds through vineyards, olive groves, and old railway tunnels, offering beautiful views of Izola Bay and the rolling countryside. Our ride leads us to Piran, a charming coastal town of narrow lanes, churches, and lively squares, where you’ll have time to enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll transfer to the Istrian countryside for a farewell dinner and wine tasting—a perfect final toast to our unforgettable Slovenian e-biking journey.

    • This Slovenian bike and food tour is suitable for most people who are active and have basic cycling experience. The tour offers a combination of easy terrain and moderate hills, and is ideal for beginners and experienced cyclists alike. Cycling from the Alps to the Adriatic is suitable for most people who enjoy e-biking and are fit enough for multiple days on a bike seat.

    • Spring and fall in Slovenia are usually clear and sunny, with warm daytime temperatures (65-77ºF / 18-25ºC), while evening temperatures are a bit colder. Dressing in layers is always recommended. Most days you’ll be comfortable biking in a short-sleeved jersey or synthetic T-shirt. Rain is always a possibility, however, so be prepared with wet-weather gear in order to best enjoy your vacation.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts (quick-dry)

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this Slovenia bike food tour, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 8:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 3 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 8 participants.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Slovenia bike food tour on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has bikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • The starting point of your Slovenia bike food tour is Ljubljana. To get there, most people fly into Ljubljana Airport. From there, you can take a shuttle service to reach Ljubljana.

      Once you’re there, you will meet your guide at 6 p.m. at your hotel.
