At sunrise, we set sail toward the wild Tavolara Island, ready to experience Sardinia from a breathtaking perspective. Our adventure begins with a climb to the island’s highest peaks via the astonishing Via Ferrata degli Angeli, a thrilling route that leads us along a 500-m-high (1,640-ft) ridge connecting all the summits. As we traverse this spectacular path, we’ll be surrounded by incredible views—Sardinia and its archipelago on one side, and the endless blue of the Mediterranean Sea on the other. After our descent, our boat will be waiting at anchor near Spalmatore di Terra Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia. We’ll spend the afternoon unwinding, swimming, and soaking in the serenity of this stunning location after an exhilarating day.
-
In the morning, we set sail toward Cala Gonone. September is a wonderful time for sailing, and the fishing is especially good. Legend has it that during one of our tours in this area, a crew member managed to catch up to 22 tunas in just a few hours! After spending the morning at sea, we will drop anchor in front of Cala Fuili, where we’ll enjoy lunch with a breathtaking view of the wild coastline. In the afternoon, we’ll disembark and explore the canyon that begins right at the beach—home to more than 200 climbing routes.
-
Today, let’s climb as much as we can! Countless incredible crags above the village of Cala Gonone are waiting to be explored, making the choice of where to start a challenge in itself. However, one stop should be mandatory—The Millennium Cave, a truly breathtaking climbing spot that we won’t want to miss!
-
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect day to climb a multi-pitch route right above the sea, this could be it. The area offers a variety of multi-pitch climbs, as well as crags nestled in the forest and along the beach. Some of the island’s most iconic routes can be found here! In the evening, we’ll drop anchor in a stunning bay, right in front of our next challenge—The Aguglia di Cala Goloritzè.
-
Many climbers travel to Sardinia just for the chance to climb the Aguglia di Cala Goloritzè. This stunning rock needle rises dramatically from the beach to a height of 140 meters and features 11 routes ranging from 5c to 7b+. On our way back to Cala Gonone, we’ll make a stop to explore the famous sea cave, Grotta del Bue Marino.
-
We start the day with an early climb on some new crags above Cala Gonone before setting sail for Molara Island, where we’ll explore its pristine bays and granite boulders right on the beach. In the afternoon, we sail back to Portisco, ensuring we arrive at the marina by 6pm. To wrap up our adventure, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at a local taverna.
-
Pack up, enjoy last views of the sparkly Mediterranean Sea, exchange contacts with your new friends, and say farewell to Sardinia! Disembark in the morning by 9am.

Being in good physical shape is important, but don’t worry—no matter your climbing grade, you’ll always find a partner at your level. And if that’s not the case, your guide will be there to support you. Rock climbing is more about mastering efficient movement techniques rather than relying on brute strength to muscle your way up a cliff.
To ensure you have a fun and rewarding retreat, your guide will supervise the climbing, help all participants improve their skills, and select routes that best match your ability and fitness level. No prior sailing experience is needed—the skipper will handle everything!
That said, good health and physical fitness are essential to fully participate in daily activities like hiking and rock climbing. If you plan to take on the challenge of deep water soloing during the tour, strong swimming skills are highly recommended.
-
Sardinia has plenty of options for beginner climbers. Whether you’ve never climbed before or are transitioning from the gym to outdoor climbing, your guide will customize the day to suit your skill level and objectives. With a guide by your side, you’ll learn something new, stay safe on the rocks, and most importantly, have fun!
For intermediate to advanced climbers, Sardinia has loads of routes to spend the day on. Your guide will discuss your objectives and customize the day to your goals. Let your guide plan the day so you can focus on developing your skills while climbing the classic routes or best hidden gems the area has to offer.
If this is your first time on a sailing boat and you don’t know what to expect, here is what you can expect from life on board:
-
- On board, everyone is responsible to clean up after themselves.
- Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Be ready to participate in cooking, prepping food, washing the dishes, etc. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to cook or if you hate to wash the dishes, you can always swap the job with another crew member.
- When at sea, it’s important to use water and electricity conservatively. You may be asked to use water and electricity with moderation while out at the sea.
- Don’t worry about any sailing knowledge. The skipper will be there to ensure your safety and will give you precious tips on how to live on board.
- If you wish to learn how to sail or if you are an experienced sailor and want to help your skipper, they will be glad to operate the sails with you and teach you anything you want to know!
