We set sail south in the morning toward Cala Gonone, an excellent stretch for some real sailing time—and maybe even a bit of fishing along the way! Legend has it that during one Vertical Sailing Tour here, a crew caught 22 tuna in just a few hours. After a morning at sea, we’ll drop anchor in front of Cala Fuili, where the wild coastline offers a stunning backdrop for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll head ashore to explore the canyon that begins right at the beach, home to over 200 bolted sport routes—plenty to keep every climber inspired.
-
We awaken in paradise and enjoy the peaceful solitude of the beach before setting off through the captivating landscape of Cala Sisine—a journey that feels straight out of Jurassic Park, surrounded by valleys, mountains, creeks, and forests. Our climbing destination lies within a canyon, offering the perfect setting for a full day on the rock, where we can easily move between sunny and shaded routes. As evening falls, we’ll head into the forest behind the beach to an old sheepfold, where locals welcome us with a traditional Sardinian meal. After dinner, the beach is ours to enjoy, framed by white limestone cliffs and the dark, glimmering sea—a truly magical setting.
-
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect day to climb a multi-pitch route right above the sea, this could be it. The area offers a variety of multi-pitch climbs, as well as crags nestled in the forest and along the beach. Some of the island’s most iconic routes can be found here!
NOTE: Multi-pitch climbing is available on privately guided tours only. Standard tours will stick to single-pitch routes.

Cala Luna is one of Sardinia’s most stunning beaches—and yes, there are climbs to be found here! Many postcards show its famous cave framing the white sand and turquoise sea, and we’ll be right in the heart of it. Another glorious day in paradise awaits as we split our time between climbing, snorkeling, exploring sea caves, and relaxing on the beach. After our adventures, we’ll sail to the village of Cala Gonone, anchor for the night, and end the day with an authentic seafood dinner at a local fish taverna.
-
Today we embrace the chance to climb to our fullest, with countless impressive crags overlooking the village of Cala Gonone waiting to be explored. The hardest part of the morning might just be choosing where to start—but a visit to the famous Millennium Cave is an absolute must. Between climbs, we’ll treat ourselves to a well-earned Italian gelato from town, sure to make the day even sweeter.
-
We begin the day with a sunrise sail to the wild and dramatic Tavolara Island, ready to see Sardinia from a breathtaking new perspective. Our adventure takes us up the famous Ferrata degli Angeli, a via ferrata that follows a spectacular ridge to Punta Cannone, the island’s highest point, rising 560 meters above our boat and cutting a perfect line between the deep blue sea and the sky. After descending, our boat awaits at anchor in Spalmatore di Terra, one of Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches, where we’ll enjoy a final swim before sailing back toward the harbor, ensuring our return by 6 p.m.
-
Pack up, enjoy last views of the sparkly Mediterranean Sea, exchange contacts with your new friends, and say farewell to Sardinia! Disembark in the morning by 9am.

Being in good physical shape is important, but don’t worry—no matter your climbing grade, you’ll always find a partner at your level. And if that’s not the case, your guide will be there to support you. Rock climbing is more about mastering efficient movement techniques rather than relying on brute strength to muscle your way up a cliff. Sardinia features routes from 4c to 8b, making it accessible for all climbers.
To ensure you have a fun and rewarding retreat, your guide will supervise the climbing, help all participants improve their skills, and select routes that best match your ability and fitness level. No prior sailing experience is needed—the skipper will handle everything!
That said, good health and physical fitness are essential to fully participate in daily activities like hiking and rock climbing. If you plan to take on the challenge of deep water soloing during the tour, strong swimming skills are highly recommended.
Please note that multi-pitch climbing is available on privately guided tours only. Standard tours will stick to single-pitch routes.

Sardinia has plenty of options for beginner climbers. Whether you’ve never climbed before or are transitioning from the gym to outdoor climbing, your guide will customize the day to suit your skill level and objectives. With a guide by your side, you’ll learn something new, stay safe on the rocks, and most importantly, have fun!
For intermediate to advanced climbers, Sardinia has loads of routes to spend the day on. Your guide will discuss your objectives and customize the day to your goals. Let your guide plan the day so you can focus on developing your skills while climbing the classic routes or best hidden gems the area has to offer.
If this is your first time on a sailing boat and you don’t know what to expect, here is what you can expect from life on board:
-
- On board, everyone is responsible to clean up after themselves.
- Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Be ready to participate in cooking, prepping food, washing the dishes, etc. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to cook or if you hate to wash the dishes, you can always swap the job with another crew member.
- When at sea, it’s important to use water and electricity conservatively. You may be asked to use water and electricity with moderation while out at the sea.
- Don’t worry about any sailing knowledge. The skipper will be there to ensure your safety and will give you precious tips on how to live on board.
- If you wish to learn how to sail or if you are an experienced sailor and want to help your skipper, they will be glad to operate the sails with you and teach you anything you want to know!
