Upon arrival, you check in to the centrally located Hoxton Lloyd Amsterdam. In the late afternoon, the journey comes to a close with a private farewell reception aboard a classic canal boat—a final toast to new friendships, the week’s highlights, and Amsterdam’s beauty from the water.

    • This Amsterdam–Paris tour is perfect for beginners—just a basic level of fitness is all you need. E-bikes are available to make the ride even easier, and if you ever feel like taking a break, you’re welcome to stay onboard and enjoy the cruise to the next stop.

      Most days offer two route options, with two guides leading separate groups: one for a shorter ride and one for a longer adventure. Distances range from 20 to 62 km (13–38 mi) per day, on mostly flat terrain. Check out the itinerary for day-by-day distances.

    • Yes, you can! To make your journey hassle-free, your guides offer premium hybrid bike or e-bike rental—you can add it to your booking at checkout. You can also add rental bike insurance at checkout as well, but note that the insurance does not apply if the damage is caused by gross negligence.

        • Premium hybrid bikes feature a lightweight aluminum frame, responsive hand brakes, 7+ gears, adjustable gel saddle, flat pedals, frame lock, and puncture-resistant tires—everything needed for smooth, worry-free riding.
        • Premium e-bikes offer the same comfort, with a 400 Wh battery and three assistance levels—opt for these if you’d like a little extra boost.

      Helmets are included in the price of the tour, as well as a waterproof pannier bag & a biodegradable water bottle—but feel free to bring your own.

      Children’s bikes, tandems, family tandems (child & adult), tag-along, trailers to carry toddlers, and child seats are available on request.

    • Yes, you can bring your own bike. If you plan to do so, please check with us well in advance of your trip to confirm there’s enough space or facilities onboard.

      You can, but just let us know well before the departure date so we can ensure there’s enough space for it onboard.

      Parking your bicycle on board costs €10 per week. For e-bikes, the fee is €25 per week, which covers both parking and battery charging. For safety reasons, e-bike batteries cannot always be charged in guest cabins. The crew will let you know where on board charging is permitted.

      Please note that neither the crew nor the guides can accept responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft of personal bikes, e-bikes, or accessories.

    • Yes, they can! If you’ve got friends or family who are non-cyclists, they’re welcome to join.

      Keep in mind that the majority of the daily program revolves around the cycling itinerary, but the passengers staying on board can enjoy the boat crossing while the cyclists are on land, or if the boat remains in harbor, the guests are able to explore the town on foot.

      The price for non-cyclists remains the same, as they occupy the same cabin space on board as cyclists.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this Amsterdam-Paris tour, there will be 3 guides on board. Normally, two guides will go out with their own group and one guide will be in a support vehicle. 
        • The maximum group size is set at 32 participants.
        • If you’d like to join as a solo traveller, please note that the single occupancy cabin is mandatory.  It’s not possible to join as a solo traveller and share a cabin with another guest.

        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Amsterdam-Paris tour on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

    • The price for this Amsterdam-Paris tour is based on twin-share cabins, but a single occupancy cabin can be arranged at an additional fee. You can add it to your booking at checkout.

      Solo travelers are welcome to join, but securing a single occupancy room for themselves is mandatory—you’ll be able to add it to your booking at checkout. It’s not possible to join as a solo traveller and share a cabin with another guest.

    • The starting point of your Amsterdam-Paris tour is either Amsterdam or Paris—the tour runs in both directions. The exact starting point depends on the date—check out both itineraries and see which date and departure point suit you best.

      Airport transfers are included in the price of the tour, so all you need to do is either land in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) if your departure point is Amsterdam or in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) if your starting point is Paris. Upon arrival, a representative will greet you in the arrivals hall and transfer you to your hotel with a private minivan.

      The first night isn’t spent on the ship, but in a hotel in Amsterdam/Paris. You will meet your fellow travellers in the afternoon in the hotel lobby.
