Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • This 5-day Mont Blanc e-MTB journey pairs serious alpine riding with the comforts that keep it fun and sustainable. Starting and finishing in Chamonix, we cross France, Switzerland, and Italy on trails chosen for flow, views, and ride quality, not brute suffering. The e-MTB smooths out the long climbs, unlocking high passes and grin-worthy descents without turning the week into a grind. Between big mountain days, there’s time for quiet villages, dangerously good regional food, and nights in very comfortable alpine hotels.

    • We start in Chamonix with a detailed briefing before riding out toward Switzerland on high alpine trails with constant views of Mont Blanc. The route moves through alpine meadows, forests, and panoramic ridges before descending into Verbier. It’s a strong opening day that sets the tone for the week with big scenery and rewarding descents.

      Meals: Lunch, dinner
Biking (Classic): 25 mi (40 km)
      Elevation (Classic): +4,000 ft (+1,220 m) / -6,000 ft (-1,830 m)
Biking (Advanced): 31 mi (50 km)
      Elevation (Advanced): +6,000 ft (+1,830 m) / -7,545 ft (-2,300 m)
Accommodation: La Cordée des Alpes Hotel (4 stars)

      Autumn in Chamonix
    • Riding above Verbier, the day features sweeping views of Grand Combin and the Mont Blanc massif, with flowing descents and classic alpine singletrack. A lunch stop in a mountain inn breaks up the day before we continue through wild pastures toward the historic Col du Grand Saint-Bernard. The sense of scale grows as we climb higher into true alpine terrain.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
      Biking: 26 mi (42 km)
      Elevation: +8,000 ft (+2,440 m) / -9,500 ft (-2,895 m)
      Accommodation: Ospices du St. Bernard

      E-bikers on a trail
    • We leave Switzerland behind and descend into Italy’s Aosta Valley on ancient mountain paths and village trails. The scenery shifts noticeably, with warmer tones, stone villages, and a slower rhythm. After lunch, a short vehicle shuttle sets us up for a long final descent into La Thuile and a well-earned evening of recovery.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Biking (Classic): 23 mi (37 km)
      Elevation (Classic): +3,200 ft (+975 m) / -9,800 ft (-2,990 m)
Biking (Advanced): 31 mi (50 km)
      Elevation (Advanced): +4,600 ft (+1,400 m) / -13,000 ft (-3,960 m)
Accommodation: Hotel Resort Montana and Spa in la Thuile

      Bikers udnerneath a mountain
    • Crossing back into France, we ride high mountain passes with Mont Blanc never far from view. The terrain opens into the Beaufortain, known for rolling pastures, alpine farms, and long scenic descents. It’s a day that blends big riding with a distinctly pastoral feel.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Biking (Classic): 22 mi (35 km)
      Elevation (Classic): +4,900 ft (+1,495 m) / -5,300 ft (-1,615 m)
Biking (Advanced): 31 mi (50 km)
      Elevation (Advanced): +7,800 ft (+2,375 m) / -10,100 ft (-3,080 m)
Accommodation: Hotel La Roche in Beaufort

      Bikers eating fondue
    • The final day links remote valleys and high-altitude trails back toward Chamonix, closing the full Mont Blanc loop. Views open and close as we move through varied terrain, with Mont Blanc gradually reappearing as the backdrop. It’s a satisfying finish that ties the entire journey together.

      Meals: Breakfast
      Biking: 29 mi (47 km)
      Elevation: +5,900 ft (+1,800 m) / -6,000 ft (-1,830 m)

    • Yes. The e-MTB makes long climbs far more enjoyable and opens up bigger terrain without exhausting you, but you’ll still need solid bike handling skills on the downhills. If you regularly ride intermediate trails and enjoy technical variety, you’ll thrive here.

Because the Alps can be technically challenging in some sections, it’s recommended that you regularly practice mountain biking for at least half a year, or engage in sports frequently.

This journey is about building on the skills you already have and putting them to work in some of the most spectacular mountain terrain in Europe.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Day pack large enough to fit everything you might need throughout the day (around a 25-40L bag) — van support / luggage transfer is available!
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
        • Cycling shoes
        • Comfortable cycling clothes
        • Spare clothes for layering
        • Waterproof rain jacket
        • Sunhat
        • Toiletries (sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray, tissues, etc.)
        • Headlamp or flashlight
        • Sunglasses
        • Camera — optional (but recommended)

Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.
