Only the ascent of Volcán Casablanca can be considered moderate—on this day, you can expect hiking up to 12 km (7.5 mi) & spend 8–10 hours on trail, with up to 1,000 m (3,300 ft) of elevation gain. The Volcán Casablanca summit is a longer, more physically demanding hike with sustained climbs and loose footing.
