Price is based on twin-share rooms. Choose how many members of your group would like to stay in single occupancy rooms during the trip.

Booking a single occupancy room is required for solo travelers. Also, if your group has an odd number of people (e.g., 3 or 5 people), adding the single occupancy option is mandatory as well.

Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • This Iceland Northern Lights tour is a four-day winter escape through some of the country’s most breathtaking southern highlights. We’ll explore Thingvellir National Park, marvel at Gullfoss waterfall, walk black-sand beaches, and stand before the cascades of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Along the way, our guide leads hikes, snowshoe adventures, and even a glacier walk across shimmering ice. Evenings are spent in a cozy countryside hostel, where home-cooked Icelandic meals set the stage for chasing the magical Northern Lights!

    • Our driver-guide will pick us up at our accommodation at 8:30am. A short drive in a 4×4 minibus takes us to Thingvellir National Park, where we will hike along the fault lines that reveal the rifting of the Earth’s crust. We’ll learn about the major historical events that have taken place here and gain an understanding of why this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After this fascinating hike, we’ll continue to explore the rest of the Golden Circle, including the spouting springs of Geysir and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. Dinner and accommodation will be at the cozy Efstidalur country hotel, where we will stay for three nights. In the evening, we’ll keep an eye out for the Northern Lights.

After this thrilling experience, we continue east to visit the dramatic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. • If the forecast is favorable, there’s a great chance you’ll witness the mesmerizing display of dancing auroras during your trip!

Still, as the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, we can’t guarantee a sighting. Their visibility depends on atmospheric and weather conditions. The best time to see the northern lights is between September and March when the nights are longest and skies are clear—far from city lights, exactly where you’ll be! And that’s exactly what this winter tour is all about, so hopefully, we’ll get a chance to see them.
