  • Experience Norway’s Arctic wonderland on a hiking adventure that blends breathtaking trails, cozy campervan stays, and unforgettable moments under the Northern lights. Trek across snow-blanketed beaches, explore dramatic fjords, and learn snow survival skills with a local expert. Along the way, enjoy hearty meals, including Arctic specialties like elk kebabs and Skrei cod. Nights bring the magic of aurora spotting from remote, picturesque locations. This journey immerses you in the wild beauty of Norway, offering unique experiences like kayaking in turquoise waters and snowshoeing through pristine landscapes. With all meals included, this is a no-hassle, all-thrills adventure of a lifetime.

    • Upon arrival, the guides will pick the group up at the airport, and we’ll head to a beach less than five minutes away where we will spend the night. After a welcome dinner, we’ll try to spot the Northern lights.

      Meals: Dinner
      Accommodation: Campervan

      Arrival with a campervan
    • In the morning, we’ll take a walk along the snow-covered beach, have breakfast, and head to a spot where, after a short hike, we’ll practice snow survival techniques with Lasse, our local expert. Lunch is pretty unique—it will feature the unique Arctic kebab made with elk meat. In the afternoon, weather permitting, we’ll set up our mobile spa and continue our northern lights search, heading to Kvaløyvågen, where we’ll spend the night in a remote spot with good aurora viewing.

      Accommodation: Campervan

      Arctic kebab with elk meat
    • Today, we’ll explore Norway’s close relationship with the sea. It’s Skrei season—a delicacy cod fish harvested here and shipped worldwide. We’ll see picturesque racks full of fish drying for the season. If possible, we’ll visit a longliner fishing boat, which freezes fish within sixty seconds and performs selective fishing. This extra activity depends on our luck. If we didn’t set up the mobile spa yesterday, we’ll do it today. We’ll spend the night in the campervan with a sea view at Grotfjord Beach.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
      Accommodation: Campervan

      Campervan under Northern lights
    • We’ll continue exploring Kvaløya, the island of whales. During herring season, it’s common to spot orcas, though we might still see some out of season. We’ll enjoy stunning views of Ersfjord, possible reindeer sightings, and frozen lakes as we venture further into the wild. Upon arrival in Tromvik, we’ll take a snowshoe walk. As night falls, we’ll find a good spot to see the auroras and prepare dinner. This area is known for its outstanding natural beauty and excellent aurora sightings.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
      Accommodation: Campervan

      Hiker with snowshoes
    • Today, we head to Sommarøy, a place that looks like a snowy piece of the Caribbean. We’ll cross a valley to another fjord, discovering a more marine landscape filled with islands and turquoise waters. We’ll explore leisurely until reaching our hotel for the night—a bit of extra comfort after two nights in the wilderness. We’ll stay at the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel, enjoying its spa with a sauna and outdoor jacuzzi, hoping to see the auroras. We’ll dine at the hotel and try once more to catch the northern lights.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
      Accommodation: Campervan

      Spa in the hotel
    • We’ll start the day by meeting our expert kayak guide in Sommarøy. We’ll explore a unique marine environment surrounded by snow-capped mountains, paradisiacal beaches, and turquoise waters by kayak. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Tromso to explore the city at our own pace, visit the gondola lookout, the Arctic Cathedral, the historic Hurtigruten ship, an old fishing village, or even ski for those interested. Later, there’s an optional craft beer tasting or a visit to the northernmost brewery in the world. Our final dinner can be in the campervan or the city, with hopefully one last view of the auroras.

    • Each day, your guide will prepare breakfast and lunch with fresh ingredients.

Dinner is more elaborate, and your guide encourages teamwork for a rewarding experience, so expect for everyone to join in as much as they can to help with preparing dinner.

    • The northern lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. Tromsø has high solar activity, and the likelihood of seeing the auroras increases with the length of the trip

    • The classic Hymer campervan for six people ensures comfort with two heaters to maintain a stable interior temperature, but space is quite limited. Organization and respect for others are appreciated. This is an adventure for those seeking a unique experience beyond traditional comforts, including the incredible ability to view auroras from your window in the middle of nowhere, or the ability to cook and sleep wherever you are.
