Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • They say getting to know the country without knowing its food and ways of life is not complete. Your guides know this, so they put together a 8-day walking tour of Slovenia with daily tastings of the country’s cuisine. You’ll explore the varied landscapes of the Julian Alps, from rocky peaks and lush alpine meadows to crystal clear lakes and hidden waterfalls. Whether you’re sleeping in a farmhouse or a charming b&B, you’ll feel in sync with nature and the countryside, geting to know the traditional way of life. If you want a feast for the eyes and the stomach, venturing to Slovenia is your best bet!

    • Arrive to Ljubljana and check into your room. Use the day to explore the city: walk along the river banks, discover bridges, explore the historical city center, or visit the colorful marketplace. See the Ljubljana Castle and admire the city from the Outlook Tower. In the evening, you’ll have a welcome dinner with traditional Slovenian food.

Following the panoramic trail along the riverbanks, we admire the incredible power of the crystal-clear water as it carves through solid rock, creating pools, cascades, and other breathtaking formations. The trail then leads us into an idyllic valley dotted with wildflower meadows and traditional shepherd huts before reaching a picturesque waterfall. After our walk, we take time to relax by the tranquil shores of Lake Bohinj, with the option to swim in its refreshing alpine waters.

    • We start our walk right from the hotel, entering a magical spruce forest that leads us to the Zajamniki mountain pasture, where cows still graze in the summer months. Famous for its beautifully arranged old shepherd huts, this peaceful alpine meadow offers one of the most stunning views of the Julian Alps. From here, we continue toward the Uskovnica plateau, surrounded by unspoiled nature, vibrant meadows, and ever-changing mountain vistas. We stop at a cozy mountain hut to enjoy traditional Slovenian food before returning to the hotel, where we might even catch athletes training for the world-famous biathlon competition on Pokljuka.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
      Distance: 13 km (8 mi), 4 hours
      Elevation: +340 m (1,115 ft), -340 m (1,115 ft)

    • We begin the day exploring Lake Bled, a picture-perfect alpine lake crowned by its iconic island and medieval castle perched dramatically on a rocky cliff. We walk up a nearby hill for incredible panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains, then add a touch of adventure with an exhilarating ride on the sledding track. A scenic walk up to Bled Castle rewards us with sweeping vistas and the chance to taste the local specialty—Bled’s famous custard cream cake. For lunch, we join a local cooking class where we learn to prepare traditional Slovenian dishes before transferring to Kranjska Gora, our next destination for the following two days.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

      Views above Bled Lake
    • We set out on a scenic walk along the Sava Dolinka River, following a narrow, well-maintained path surrounded by pristine nature. The trail leads us to a charming village above Gozd Martuljek, where we’re rewarded with breathtaking views of the Julian Alps. Continuing on to Lake Jasna, we find ourselves by a turquoise alpine lake framed by jagged peaks—a perfect spot to rest and enjoy lunch at our own pace while taking in the mountain scenery. Before dinner, we stop at the Zelenci Nature Reserve, where an observation tower offers a stunning elevated view of the emerald-green lake and the tranquil landscape that surrounds it.

    • We’ll travel along a scenic mountain road into the breathtaking and unspoiled Soča River Valley—a day that beautifully blends nature, history, and fine cuisine. We begin with a peaceful walk to the hidden Kozjak Waterfalls, a magical spot tucked within a forested gorge. From there, we visit the historic town of Kobarid, where Ernest Hemingway found inspiration for A Farewell to Arms. Continuing our journey, we drive through the rolling hills of Slovenia’s winegrowing region, Goriška Brda, a picturesque landscape of vineyards and orchards. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a gourmet dinner with wine pairings, followed by a private tour of the family’s wine cellar. The hosts will share their centuries-old winemaking traditions and offer tastings of their exceptional certified organic wines.

    • After breakfast, we set out on an easy walk up Sabotin Mountain, a peaceful trail rich in history. This area served as a strategic point during World War I, and along the way, we can still see preserved bunkers, ditches, and caverns. From the summit, we’ll take in breathtaking views of the emerald-green Soča River winding toward the sea. Next, we climb the lookout tower at Gonjače for magnificent panoramic views stretching across the region—from the rolling hills of Goriška Brda to the Adriatic coast and all the way to Slovenia’s highest peak, Triglav. We then visit Šmartno, one of Slovenia’s best-preserved medieval villages, where cobblestone streets and stone houses capture the charm of old-world life. To conclude the day, we visit a renowned local winemaker for a private tasting paired with homemade cold cuts.
