  • Have a fun day exploring the wilderness of Zion on guided hikes that take you to the most beautiful areas of this stunning National Park. Venture to the slot canyons of the Narrows, the tranquil Emerald Pools, refreshing waterfalls, and more, and enjoy the gorgeous views spreading for miles on end. Discover waterfalls and tranquil lakes or traverse along towering sandstone walls carved by water over millions of years. If you are unsure about the terrain or are looking to expand your hiking potential, a guide can be of great value — let them tailor the trip according to your needs and get the most out of your day!

    • 57hours is committed to providing safe outdoor adventure experiences. We require all guides using our platform to have a COVID-19 safety plan and to make the details of that plan accessible to travelers. In most cases, group sizes will be reduced, guides will avoid overcrowded locations, and other safety measures will be met depending on the location and activity.
We also expect clients to respect local regulations and take measures to protect themselves, guides and the communities they’re traveling to. For more information on COVID-19 measures in Zion, please refer to the Zion National Park webpage.
Please contact us if you have any questions or require further information. We are happy to provide you with the most up-to-date information!

    • What you get on this adventure:

        • An experienced, local hiking guide with extensive knowledge of the area
        • A half or full day of hiking depending on your chosen itinerary
        • Transportation to the trailhead if possible
        • Lunch for full-day hikes

      What’s not included:

        • Transportation to Zion
        • Accommodations
        • Meals and snacks
        • Entrance fee

Zion National Park requires an entry fee ($20) which can be purchased upon arrival. Entrance is permitted with either an America the Beautiful Annual Pass ($80) or a Zion-specific park pass ($35).

    • To enjoy the trails in Zion National Park need to be able to hike for five to eight hours, depending on the chosen itinerary. You have the option of multiple short moderate hikes or one long, strenuous hike (ex. Angels landing). Please research and decide which hikes you hope to explore prior to the trip start or let your guide determine the best trails for your group’s skill level. Keep in mind, the weather in summer can be very hot!

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Day pack large enough to carry all the items listed (around a 25-40L bag)
        • Hiking poles — optional
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
        • Lightweight hiking boots or shoes
        • Spare clothes for layering
        • Waterproof rain jacket
        • Sunhat
        • Toiletries (sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray, toilet paper, etc.)
        • Headlamp or flashlight
        • Sunglasses
        • Camera — optional (but recommended)

Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and prices:

        • The guest-to-guide ratio for these hiking tours is usually 6:1 with up to 12 people per group.
        • It takes at least 2 participants for these tours to run. If you want to go out with a guide alone, you can do it by paying for 2 spots.
        • Pricing is per person, and the cost doesn’t decrease as the group grows.

If your hiking party is larger than six people, please contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements:

        • Anyone over the age of 18 can join these day-hiking tours
        • Minors as young as 4 may be permitted to join the hike on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

If you plan to hike with anyone under the age of 18, please contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • To get to Zion National Park, most people fly into McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. From Las Vegas, which is only three hours away, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service to Zion National Park. The closest commercial flight airport is St. George Regional Airport, only an hour’s drive away from the Park. From there, you also can take a shuttle to Zion National Park.

Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet. You will typically meet your guide at their shop in Springdale. Your guide will provide transportation to and from the activities locations if possible.
