Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 90 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 89 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after a 48-hour grace period.
Flexible
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 90 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled 60-89 days before departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after 48 hours grace period.
Super Flexible

  • If variety is the spice of life, then this Slovenian mountain biking adventure is the ultimate recipe. Picture this: thrilling climbs over the Julian Alps, smooth-flowing singletrack through national parks, scenic gravel roads through rolling vineyards, and an epic seaside finish. Along the way, we’ll explore charming villages, indulge in farm-fresh delights, and soak in breathtaking landscapes that change with every pedal stroke. Whether you're chasing elevation gains or savoring the scenic routes, this ride delivers it all. Saddle up, let’s ride!

    • The first day is reserved for a warm-up bike ride from Kranjska Gora to Belopeška Lakes and back to Kranjska Gora via Tromeja (Triple Border). Later on, we’ll settle in our accommodation for a good night’s sleep.

      Option 1: 22 km (13.6 mi), +680 m (+2,230 ft), 2–3 hours
      Option 2: 32 km (19.8 mi), +850 m (+2,788 ft), 3–4 hours
      Terrain: Single trails 15–20%, Gravel road 40–50%, Tarmac 20%

      Warm up bike ride
    • This day takes place in the extraordinary environment of Triglav National Park. We’ll ride our bikes in the Krnica Valley; along the old Russian road over Vrsic Pass in the beautiful Trenta Valley, where the emerald green Soča River flows.

      Cycling: 51 km (31.7 mi), 4–5 hours
      Elevation: +1,100 m (+3,608 ft)

    • Today, we’ll follow the Soča Valley and climb to the remarkably scenic Kobariški Stol. From there, the views extend far and wide. It is also home to high-mountain dairy farms. Finally, we’ll experience the unique charm of the town of Kobarid at the end.

      Option 1: 45 km (28 mi) / +1,250 m (+4,101 ft), 3–4 hours via Kobariški Stol direct to Kobarid
      Option 2: 52 km (32.3 mi) / +1,180 m (+3,871 ft), 4–5 hours via Kobariški Stol to Breginj and Kobarid
      Option 3: 28 km (17.3 mi) / +490 m (+1,607 ft), 2–3 hours via Soča valley to Nagozd and to Kobarid

    • On Day 4, an extremely beautiful and diverse stage will take us to the mountain pastures beneath the famous and majestic Mount Krn. Later on, we’ll once again encounter the beauty of the waters in the Julian Alps, as we are greeted by the stunning Tolmin gorges at the end.

      Mountain pastures biking
    • On Day 5, we’re going on an exceptionally beautiful stage that takes us from Tolmin to the scenic ridge below Mt Matajur. From there, we’ll continue over rolling hills all the way to Goriška Brda, a region renowned for its exquisite wines, delicious cherries, and sweet apples. In these parts, life is simply savored to the fullest.

      Wine region in Slovenia
    • Today, we’re going on a stunning mountain biking trail that takes us from Goriška Brda across the remarkable Red Karst. This trail is filled with small villages, vineyards, fertile fields, and sinkholes. But that’s ok, as we are in an area considered one of the most beautiful karst phenomena in this part of Europe.

      Cycling: 68 km (42.2 mi), +1,260 m (+4,133 ft), 5-6 hours
      Terrain: Single trails 20%, Gravel road 50%, Tarmac 30%
      Accommodation: 3-star agrotourism farm or hotel in Sežana

      Karst region
    • On this day, we’ll connect the famous Karst region with the Adriatic coast. We’ll ride mostly on well-designed trails with some beautiful gravel roads. Once we descend over the karst edge towards the sea, we can choose between a more comfortable route along the coast or a trail that runs slightly inland. The conclusion of this mountain biking adventure is in Piran, considered one of the most beautiful coastal towns on the Adriatic.

    • After breakfast, we’ll say our goodbyes and depart back home filled with memories that we’ll cherish for a long time. The departure transfer to Ljubljana or Kranjska Gora is available to those who want it.

    • This trans Slovenia MTB tour is rated moderate to challenging, meaning that a moderately good bike skill level and a very good fitness level are required to go on this adventure. The mountain biking tour involves riding through some remote and rugged terrains. Expect biking up to 7 hours and 78 km (48.4 mi) per day, while gaining up to +1,780 m (+5,839 ft) in elevation.

      At almost every stage, you can choose a more challenging or easier option, so you can adapt certain stages to your riding abilities. The level of difficulty varies depending on the ground, elevation changes, and length of the stage. All daily stages are connected, and it’s necessary to reach the next location for accommodation.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Day pack large enough to carry everything you might need throughout the day (around a 25-40L bag)

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this trans Slovenia MTB adventure, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 8:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 6 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 16 participants.

      Trans Slovenia MTB adventure can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the trans Slovenia MTB adventure on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has participants under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • The starting point of your trans Slovenia MTB advenure is Kranjska Gora. To get there, most people fly into Ljubljana Airport (LJU). Alternatively, you can also fly into Klagenfurt Airport (KLU), Trieste Airport (TRS), Venice Treviso Airport (TSF), or Venice Airport (VCE). From some of these airports, you can use public transport or rent a car to reach Kranjska Gora.

      Once you’re there, you will meet your guide at a predetermined time in Kranjska Gora. Your guide will provide more details before the adventure starts.
