    • Arrive to Ljubljana and check into your room. Use the day to explore the city: walk along the river banks, discover bridges, explore the historical city center, or visit the colorful marketplace. See the Ljubljana Castle and admire the city from the Outlook Tower. In the evening, you’ll have a welcome dinner with traditional Slovenian food.

    • First stop of the trip is Lake Bled, a picture-perfect lake with a small island in the middle of it with a church and a castle. A good start to hiking will be traversing the spectacular Bled Vintgar Gorge, a narrow canyon with an emerald river coursing through. Don’t miss out on the Bled custard-cream cake, the local specialty. Continue on to the glacial Lake Bohinj in a peaceful alpine valley, located in the heart of the Triglav National Park.

    • After a hearty breakfast, you’ll start your 3-day hut-to-hut hiking adventure in the heart of Triglav National Park. Walk past shepherds’ cottages and pass through lush meadows of the charming alpine pastures. Continue on rocky terrain to mountain ridges that offer some of the best views of Slovenian Alps. Spend the night in a quaint mountain hut encircled by surrounding peaks.

    • Go into the Valley of the Seven Triglav Lakes—traverse along the mountain trail, connecting 7 lakes in a verdant, high-altitude alpine valley. Touring Triglav will help you see why it’s also called the Kingdom of the Golden Horn, a source of pride for all Slovenians. Spend the night in a cozy mountain hut, just next to one of the lakes.

    • Leave the rocky terrain and highest peaks behind and enter the land of alpine pastures. On the walk back, you’ll enjoy incredible views of the Bohinj area. Stop at one of the typical shepherd huts you’ll walk past, and taste traditional Slovenian delights. Continue on to Lake Jasna, a turquoise lake surrounded by jaggy peaks, where you’ll have time to take a dip. End the day with a tasty Slovenian dinner.

    • The scenic mountain road will take you to Vršič Pass at 5,331 ft (1,625m), from where you’ll hike through rocky terrain to Sleme Peak. After lunch at a mountain hut, continue driving into the unspoilt Soča River Valley and explore the historical Kobarid town. The evening is reserved for a gastronomic experience—relish the slow food dinner prepared by Ana Ros, World’s Best Female Chef for 2017, at her restaurant Hiša Franko with two Michelin stars, one of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2021.

    • Follow the path near the Soča River and reach the hidden Kozjak Waterfalls and its pool. Visit the WW1 Museum in the area and learn about its history. Continue along a route to Slovenia’s winegrowing region of Goriška Brda and marvel at the land of gently rolling hills covered with orchards and vineyards. You’ll have time to swim in the pool or relax with a glass of wine. Your farewell dinner will be served in a family-run farm—each dish will be accompanied by a selection of your host’s wine and a stunning view of Goriška Brda.

    • To get to Ljubljana, most people fly into Ljubljana Airport (LJU), a 30-minute drive from the city. From there, you can take a shuttle service into town.

      On the first day, check-in is available after 12 p.m., with a welcome meeting and introduction to your guide and fellow travelers scheduled for 6 p.m. During this briefing, your guide will review the itinerary and adjust plans as needed based on weather and group ability. On the final day, our return transfer from Goriška Brda to Ljubljana is expected to arrive between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
