  • Portugal’s Silver Coast isn’t just a place—it’s a vibe, and we’re riding straight into it. Six days, one e-bike, and a coastline that doesn’t quit. Expect golden beaches, medieval towns, and waves that make even pro surfers nervous (looking at you, Nazaré). We’ll pedal through vineyard-covered hills, glide into Óbidos’ castle-clad streets, and soak up Peniche’s rugged cliffs without breaking a sweat (thanks, e-bike). No traffic, no rush, just pure, pedal-powered joy along Portugal’s most stunning shores. If the idea of effortless adventure, epic scenery, and fresh breakfasts on repeat sounds like your thing, this adventure’s got your name on it!

    • We begin our journey with a transfer from Lisbon to São Pedro de Moel, a charming coastal village perched above the Atlantic. After checking in, we have time to settle in and explore the dramatic clifftop surroundings, with the lighthouse and beach just a short walk away. The afternoon is relaxed, allowing us to ease into the rhythm of the coast, breathe in the sea air, and enjoy our first evening overlooking the ocean as waves crash below.

Accommodation: Hotel Mar & Sol, São Pedro de Moel (4-star)

      Lighthouse in Sao Pedro
    • We ride south along spectacular Atlantic cliffs, following quiet coastal roads with constant ocean views. After a coffee stop in Paredes da Vitória, we continue through pine forests to Pataias, where we enjoy a peaceful lagoon-side lunch. The afternoon ride leads us toward Nazaré, one of Portugal’s most iconic seaside towns. Depending on conditions, we may visit the Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo, home to the Big Wave Museum, to learn about the legendary surf that made Nazaré world-famous. We finish the day near the beach, soaking in the town’s lively coastal atmosphere.

    • We leave Nazaré riding south along the Silver Coast, where cliffs, dunes, and fishing villages define the landscape. The Atlantic stays close as we roll through peaceful seaside roads, stopping along the way for coffee and a relaxed lunch in Alfeizerão. As we approach São Martinho do Porto, the scenery softens into one of Portugal’s most beautiful natural bays — a perfect crescent of sand sheltered from the open ocean. The calm waters and waterfront promenade invite an easy afternoon stroll before settling into our boutique hotel overlooking the bay.

      Obidos in Portugal
    • Leaving the coast behind, we ride inland through the fertile countryside of the Oeste region, passing orchards, vineyards, and whitewashed villages scented with pine and eucalyptus. A scenic stop at Foz do Arelho offers views over the Óbidos Lagoon before we continue toward one of Portugal’s most enchanting medieval towns. Entering Óbidos through its ancient gates feels like stepping back in time, with cobbled streets, flower-filled balconies, and castle walls wrapping around the town. The afternoon is perfect for exploring, enjoying a sunset over the ramparts, and tasting the famous local ginja.

      Meals: Breakfast
      Cycling: 30–35 km (19–22 mi)

      Surfers in peniche
    • We cycle west from the medieval walls of Óbidos through rolling countryside dotted with windmills and vineyards, gradually sensing the return of the sea. A coastal lunch stop in Baleal introduces us again to the Atlantic before we continue toward the Peniche Peninsula, where dramatic cliffs and rugged coves dominate the landscape. We stop at viewpoints such as Cabo Carvoeiro to take in sweeping ocean vistas before descending into Peniche. The day ends by the sea, where we can stroll the harbor, enjoy fresh seafood, and celebrate the completion of our coastal journey.

      Meals: Breakfast
      Cycling: 45–50 km (28–31 mi)
      Elevation gain: ~430–450 m (1,410–1,475 ft)

      Goodbye Portugal
    • We finish the journey with a memorable excursion to the Berlengas Islands, a protected marine reserve off the coast of Peniche. A boat ride carries us across turquoise waters to dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and the iconic São João Baptista Fort rising from the sea. We have time to walk island trails, swim in crystal-clear bays, or simply enjoy the stillness of this wild Atlantic outpost. Returning to the mainland, we transfer back toward Lisbon, carrying with us the wind, light, and rhythm of Portugal’s Silver Coast.
