Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • This cycling holiday in the Dolomites links 5 iconic passes across a 5-day loop from Bolzano, combining epic climbs with long descents on quiet alpine roads. Each day, we choose between a standard route and a more demanding extended version. Between the riding: a spa hotel, lakeside dinners, a cable car to 3,223 m (10,574 ft), and a Michelin-starred restaurant above the treeline. Expert guides, bike rental, luggage handling, and a support van are included from start to finish.

    • From Bolzano, we’ll make our way up to the Alpe di Siusi, the largest high-altitude plateau in Europe, with the help of the ski lift. At the top, the Dolomite panorama opens up in every direction. We stop at a traditional Tyrolean mountain hut for lunch with 360-degree views before continuing to Selva, where the evening ends with a well-earned session at the hotel spa.

      Accommodation: Welponer Hotel, Selva
      Meals: Lunch, dinner
Cycling (Standard): 56 km (35 mi)
Cycling (Extended): 67 km (42 mi)

      Hut lunch in Italy
    • From Selva, we climb the famous Passo Sella before descending into the Val di Fassa. Lunch is at the renowned Il Puzzone di Moena dairy farm, where local cheese takes centre stage. We then tackle Passo San Pellegrino and arrive in Alleghe for dinner on the shores of the lake. Extended route riders also take on the ascent to Passo Carezza.

      Accommodation: Europa Hotel, Alleghe
      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Cycling (Standard): 76 km (47 mi)
Cycling (Extended): 126 km (78 mi)

      Bikers start in Italy
    • The day opens with the ascent of Passo Giau before we roll into Cortina d’Ampezzo, one of the Dolomites’ most iconic towns. From here, a cable car carries us, without bikes, up to the Tofane at 3,223 m (10,574 ft) for lunch at altitude. We then face the final climb of the day to Passo Cimabanche and descend to Dobbiaco, where a Tyrolean evening with live music is waiting.

      Accommodation: Cristallo Hotel, Dobbiaco
      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Cycling (Standard): 78 km (48 mi)
Cycling (Extended): 89 km (55 mi)

Cyclist and great view in Italy
    • We follow the cycling path through the Val Pusteria to Brunico, stopping at the Lumen Photography Museum at Plan de Corones. Lunch is at AlpiNN, Chef Norbert Niederkofler’s Michelin-starred restaurant perched above the valley. The afternoon brings us to Corvara and the Cappella Hotel, where the spa offers a fitting reward for the day’s efforts.

      Accommodation: Cappella Hotel, Corvara
      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Cycling (Standard): 63 km (39 mi)
Cycling (Extended): 75 km (47 mi)

Cows in Dolomites in the morning
    • The last Dolomite pass is Passo Gardena, which we cross before beginning the long descent back to Bolzano. Extended route riders also visit Ortisei and take the train up to the Resciesa refuge for a typical mountain lunch. Back in Bolzano, we return the bikes and close the week with a farewell dinner at a gourmet restaurant, marking the end of our cycling adventure.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch (extended route only), dinner
Cycling (Standard): 65 km (40 mi)
Cycling (Extended): 75 km (47 mi)

    • Road bike and e-bike rentals are included in the price, along with a helmet. If you prefer to ride your own bike, you are welcome to bring it.

GPS devices, cycling shoes, water bottles, and cycling gloves are not included and should be brought or sourced locally.
