Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • The Italian island of Sardinia offers wonderful cycling opportunities—the roads are quiet and mostly without traffic, while the countryside is tranquil and spectacular. As if the spectacular views we’ll be seeing aren’t enough for a perfect holiday, we’ll also be rewarded with out-of-this-world food during our whole, week-long trip. We’ll have cooking classes and go wine and olive oil tasting. Nights will be spent in fabulous accommodation, a wonderful eclectic mix of hotels and villas, all of which provide peace and comfort. Our guide really thought of everything—almost all meals are included as well as necessary transfers—giving us a totally relaxed, worry-free holiday.

    • The Sardinian town of Alghero is a lively and charming city, a flourishing tourist destination that attracts not only summer visitors and elite travelers but also a growing cosmopolitan crowd. Its unique character stems from its Catalan heritage—having once been dominated by the Catalans, some locals still speak the Catalan language today. The Mura Catalane (Catalan Walls) still encircle the old town center along the seafront, adding to its historic appeal. As we stroll through the old town, we can admire its many towers, explore local shops and businesses, and enjoy a drink at sunset in one of its delightful cafés or bars. Dinner is included at our hotel or a local restaurant.

      Accommodation: Villa Mosca
      Meals: Breakfast, dinner

      Alghero in Sardinia
    • Our first ride takes us on a fantastic bike loop starting from Alghero, following the scenic coastline all the way to Capo Caccia. Along the way, we enjoy breathtaking sea views, the fragrance of Mediterranean vegetation, and the opportunity to explore the area’s impressive cliffs. Capo Caccia is a place where time has sculpted towering cliffs that plunge dramatically into the sea, revealing caves, underwater grottoes, rare marine life such as coral, and vibrant shoals of fish—creating one of the most spectacular landscapes in northwestern Sardinia. Later, we prepare for our first cooking lesson at Fattoria dei Piani, where we learn how to make traditional Sardinian pasta. After the lesson, dinner is included.

      Accommodation: Villa Mosca
      Meals: Breakfast, dinner
Cycling distance: 35 mi (56 km)
      Elevation: +1,408 m (+429 m), -1,400 ft (426 m)

    • This scenic bike ride begins in Alghero and follows a stunning coastal road to Bosa. The route unfolds through rolling hills that lead us to the dramatic basalt cliffs near Capo Marrargiu. Upon arriving in Bosa, we discover a captivating medieval town watched over by its ancient castle and adorned with charming, colorful houses. From Bosa, we continue cycling through the peaceful rural landscape of Planargia, passing well-kept vineyards and fruit orchards before reaching the quaint village of Tresnuraghes. Bosa is a fascinating place where history and modernity blend harmoniously, sparking both curiosity and admiration. The old village, nestled around Serravalle Castle, is easily explored on foot and rewards us with breathtaking views that will remain etched in our memory. In the evening, we enjoy a ricotta cheese-making demonstration with a real Sardinian shepherd at our hotel, followed by dinner.

We pedal toward the small village of Tinnura, famous for its traditional murals and quiet charm. From there, the route winds gently through rolling hills, passing serene hamlets surrounded by vineyards and orchards. Tresnuraghes, located on the border between Planargia and Montiferru and just a short distance from the clear blue sea of Sardinia’s central-western coast, is a village rich in history, archaeology, and culture. In the evening, after a short five-minute van transfer, we enjoy a wine tasting followed by a pizza-making lesson at Cantine Santa Lucia.

The route then leads us to Torre Grande, a lively seaside town renowned for its long sandy beaches and vibrant marina. Oristano, the main city of central-western Sardinia, serves as an ideal gateway to a region rich in natural beauty, noble traditions, and fascinating history. The site offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and a fascinating insight into Sardinia’s rich history. Continuing our ride, we head toward San Salvatore, a peaceful village surrounded by serene landscapes. This mostly flat and scenic route perfectly blends cultural heritage, stunning coastal vistas, and relaxing seaside stops. Tharros, once a Nuragic settlement, later became a Phoenician trading center, a Carthaginian fortress, a Roman city, and finally a Byzantine administrative hub and capital of Arborea—revealing more than two thousand years of history. Our farewell dinner is included at the hotel or a local restaurant.
