The Sardinian town of Alghero is a lively and charming city, a flourishing tourist destination that attracts not only summer visitors and elite travelers but also a growing cosmopolitan crowd. Its unique character stems from its Catalan heritage—having once been dominated by the Catalans, some locals still speak the Catalan language today. The Mura Catalane (Catalan Walls) still encircle the old town center along the seafront, adding to its historic appeal. As we stroll through the old town, we can admire its many towers, explore local shops and businesses, and enjoy a drink at sunset in one of its delightful cafés or bars. Dinner is included at our hotel or a local restaurant.
