A sunny day in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
    • Today you’ll ride the high mountain plateau of Velika Planina, known for its authentic shepherd huts, views of the Slovenian alps, and fantastic MTB trails. You’ll mostly ride on macadam trails, with some rugged pastoral paths and the occasional soft grassy downhill that feels like cycling on puffy clouds. Enjoy the perfect introduction to the mountain biking Slovenia offers.

    • Get further away from Ljubljana and to the most famous alpine resort in Slovenia, Kranjska Gora. You’ll pedal through alpine valleys, past the Zelenci Springs nature reserve, and into the Karawanks mountains, with exquisite views of the sharpest peaks in the Julian Alps. Then, descend to Lake Jasna for some refreshments and watch the sun paint the mountains pink as it sets behind the horizon.

    • You read it right — today you will be biking the lush trails of Europe’s greenest capital city! Ride through pristine nature on cool forested areas and off-road singletrack, with plenty of options for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Diehard bikers will especially love the challenging downhills of the famous “Golovec Trails”, an absolute must-ride.

You will ride countless trails through vast spruce forests, occasionally opening up to epic overlooks and green pastures with grazing cattle. You can even buy traditional cheese in authentic shepherd’s huts! Then, you’ll ride down the road to Bled Lake, where you’ll enjoy the scenery, taste the iconic Kremšnita cream cake, and visit the oldest castle in Slovenia if you’re up for it.

    • From vast forests to wide-open pastures, today you ride the grassy slopes of the Karawanks. Start with a short climb through a shaded forest before reaching the longest ridge in Slovenia, Košuta mountain. Ride gravel tracks and single trails, enjoying the fresh air and views of the valley below. End the day at Kofce Hut, tasting arguably the best Štruklji delicacy in Slovenia.

    • Your guides have saved the best for last: crossing Kobariški Stol mountain is one of the coolest rides in Slovenia. Drive over the Vršić mountain pass and to the highly Mediterranean Soča Valley. From there, ascend a scenic mule path from WWI, with plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the views. At the top, watch paragliders take off before proceeding to the panoramic ridge of the Soča river valley, where you’ll relax watching the pools, banks, and cascades.

We also expect clients to respect local regulations and take measures to protect themselves, their guides, and the communities they’re traveling to. For more information on COVID-19 measures in Slovenia, please refer to Slovenia.info’s latest tourist information about COVID-19.
