The price of the tour is based on two people sharing a room. If you’d like to have a room to yourself and not share it with anyone else, add this single supplement to your booking.

Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after a 48-hour grace period.
Flexible
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled 30-59 days before departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 29 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after 48 hours grace period.
Super Flexible
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.

  • Swap chilly days back home with Costa Rica’s warm climate! Come to Samara for a surf camp and spend a week in tropical paradise. Whether you’re a complete novice or you’ve already got some surfing experience under your belt, this surf camp is accommodating to all. You’ll stay at a lovely hotel, and every day have a mix of surf lessons, swimming, lounging on the beach, and optional activities. Samara is a small town that still has its traditional Costa Rican flare, and it’s the ideal base for a surf week!

    • Today is all about arriving in Costa Rica—once you land in the tropics, take off all those layers of winter clothes and get ready for a vacation in heaven! Pass immigration and get your passport stamp from Costa Rican authorities. There will be a shared shuttle from Liberia Airport at 3pm (included in the price). We’ll have a welcome meeting and talk about the days ahead! You’re welcome to join us for dinner every night—we’ll choose a different place each evening—or feel free to branch off on your own!

    • We’ll have a similar schedule every day—we’ll get on with our surf lessons between 6am and 7am, have breakfast, chill on the beach, and again have surf lessons during the day. These lessons are tailored specifically to you, so rest assured, we cater to surfers of all skill levels! Lunches and dinners are not included in this surf week, but there’s plenty of options and we’re happy to give you recommendations.

      Also, we’ll do one activity of your choice, most likely on Day 4—though the itinerary is subject to change depending on tides and swells. Horseback riding, kayak & snorkel, waterfall nature walk, zipline tour, you can choose one of these activities upon checkout. Another great thing is that we can organize some other optional activities for you! Private yoga class, traditional massage, deep healing energy massage, sound healing, ATVs, cooking class, turtle nesting/release tour—it’s all possible, let us know upon booking if you’d like to do any of that!

    • After our final breakfast at the hotel, the trip comes to an end. Airport transfers to Liberia Airport are included in the price. If you’d like to spend some more time in Costa Rica, just ask us and we can give you recommendations or even an extension itinerary!

    • This Samara surf camp allows surfers at all stages to be matched with appropriate waves for your surf level. Just keep in mind that surfing is an action sport, so a basic level of fitness is a must—but classes are built for beginners and above!

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Beach attire
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
        • Comfortable clothes
        • Sunhat
        • Reef-safe sunscreen
        • Toiletries (hand sanitizer, bug spray, etc.)
        • Sunglasses
        • Camera — optional (but recommended)

      Surfing equipment is provided by your instructors.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • The guide-to-client ratio depends on the turnout and room availability.
        • The Samara surf camp can go ahead even if there’s only one participant signed up!
        • The price of the trip is per person, based on double occupancy, but you can also choose a triple, quadruple, or quint room room (in that case, there’s a discounted rate).
        • For guaranteed lodgings, clients need to book the trip 60 days in advance at the latest.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Samara surf camp on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has surfers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • To get to your Samara surf camp, it’s best to fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR). If you fly into that airport, transfers to and from your accommodation are included. The transfer may be shared and it will be organized at a set time.
