  • Want some more time riding in BC’s Coast Mountains? Experience an unforgettable 5-day heli-accessed mountain biking adventure in BC’s Coast Mountains. Discover the world’s longest granite slabs, unwind in a sauna, and indulge in gourmet meals at our deluxe 5,900-ft base camp. Perfect for groups of MTB enthusiasts, enjoy guided rides along ridgelines, thrilling descents, and breathtaking vistas. With helicopter transfers from Squamish, luxurious dome tent accommodations, and all meals included, this tour promises the ultimate mountain biking getaway.

    • Meet your pilot and trip manager at the heli-pad in Squamish for a flight to our stunning base camp. With five days of riding and a well-vetted group, we offer two unique first-day ride options:

Option 1: Our Northeastern ridgeline features over 6.2 miles (10 km) of steep granite terrain. After an orientation and safety debrief, we descend down technical slabs to a lower bench (2,625 ft or 800 meters below) with shaded trees. A lower rock traverse then leads us to a final ascent line with the first views of camp. This climb tests fresh legs, often with pedal assist or off the bike, but the views and riding are worth the effort.

Option 2: The new South ridge offers views of the Georgia Strait and Vancouver Island. The descent from here includes long, knife-edge granite trickery, leading down 3,280+ ft (1,000+ meters) to the forested ledges below. A traverse below a moraine and up to the glaciated tarn below camp completes the journey.

We wrap up the day with glacial water to refresh, a sauna to warm up, and a three-course fireside meal. Enjoy stargazing and the comforts of high camp, including cozy domes with cots and stoves.

      Meals: Dinner

    • An early start with an amazing breakfast and packed lunches kicks off a quick climb above camp. From there, a col and ridgeline high above camp lure you in, with views of the surrounding Coast Mountain Range, highlighting Mount Waddington. Once oriented to this ridgeline and the vast terrain above camp, a choice to descend down to camp across some very technical slabs awaits. Alternatively, a traverse across to the riding area below our South ridge to the lower, glaciated tarn makes a second long day.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

    • Depending on the previous day’s route choices, day three often becomes a recovery or flex day. Some riders may choose to hunt down technical features, photo opportunities, or work on bike control among the steep granite playground. Ascending from camp, the group can ride clockwise or counterclockwise around base camp’s tarn to gain further granite terrain. This leads to the final Western ridge descent or a nearer loop around some of the most sought-after features our tenure has to offer.

    • For fitness junkies and those prepared to cover as much terrain as possible, the distant ridgeline skipped on day one can be attempted. A steep climb and long traverse kick off an early morning! Either the South ridge or Northeastern ridgeline is accessible from base camp, with a big day of pedaling combined with endless brake and tire-testing descents. Alternatively, a day of exploring either south or north of camp will unlock plenty more riding potential for those with sore muscles or a desire to leave more in the tank for the final day of feature hunting and descending prior to pickup from the lower West ridge.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Endless slab terrain for mountain biking in BC’s Coast Mountains.
    • Leaving this granite playground is always challenging, but you will quickly discover that there is season after season of terrain to explore up here. Our final descent down the West-most ridge is accomplished by either a last summit or a quicker, steeper exit into a bottomless bowl of granite shelves. From there, our longest descent day puts gravity on our side and our brakes to the test as we make our way down endless seas of granite lines. The myriad of choices offers perspective on just how small we are, while narrow ledges bring the crew back together for improbable links to the next open slab, all without touching soil. Once we’ve reached the precipice of the protected forest below a wall of cliffs, our helicopter pickup site wraps up the adventure. A helicopter pickup from this lowest section of granite slab returns us back to Squamish.

      Meals: Breakfast and lunch

    • From our lower pickup area, we offer an optional sixth day of world-class riding at the infamous Coast Gravity Park. Lodging options with spas, saunas, and amazing seafood are available along the lower Sunshine Coast near the towns of Sechelt or Robert’s Creek. We then return back to the Sea to Sky region via a ferry into Horseshoe Bay.
