When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

    If you’ve always dreamed of visiting Iceland, mark your calendars for August 12, 2026—because that’s when the incredible solar eclipse will occur in Iceland! This 6-day adventure is all about blending the highlights of Iceland with this unique occurrence. helping you check off more items from your bucket list than you ever imagined. Accommodation, breakfasts, entries to geothermal pools, a glacier hike, as well as all transfers are arranged. All that’s left to do is book your flight and you’re set to go.

    • We begin our journey in the heart of downtown Reykjavík, a vibrant city full of culture and history. Our base is the Skuggi Hotel, a stylish and modern hotel located just steps from the famous Laugavegur shopping street and a variety of local cafés and restaurants. The hotel’s design draws inspiration from Icelandic nature photography, creating a sleek yet cozy urban atmosphere. Its central location puts iconic sites like the Hallgrímskirkja church and Harpa Concert Hall within easy walking distance for our first afternoon of exploration.

    • Today, we set out to explore some of Iceland’s most iconic natural wonders, starting at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates drift apart. Next, we continue to the Geysir geothermal area to see bubbling hot springs and the famous Strokkur geyser, which regularly erupts into the air. We then visit the awe-inspiring Gullfoss, or the “Golden Waterfall,” before heading to the Secret Lagoon. As the oldest manmade pool in Iceland, it offers a unique soak in warm waters fed by nearby hot springs.

    • We explore Iceland’s South Coast, starting with Seljalandsfoss, where we can walk behind the curtain of water, followed by the powerful Skógafoss waterfall. Later, we strap on our crampons and join a certified guide for a 2-hour hike on the Solheimajökull glacier, one of the most impressive and accessible glaciers in the country. In the afternoon, we visit the legendary Black Sand Beach to witness the breathtaking highlight of our journey—a total solar eclipse, expected at approximately 17:47. We finish the day at a family-run hotel near Vík, offering views of the Dyrhólaey Peninsula.

    • On our way back to Reykjavík, we stop in the charming town of Hveragerði to visit a local bakery and pick up fresh treats for a simple picnic. We then begin a hike into the Reykjadalur geothermal valley, often called “The Valley of Steam,” known for its bubbling hot springs and rolling green hills. The trail leads uphill through a dramatic landscape to a naturally warm geothermal river where we can relax and soak in the soothing waters. After our hike, we return to Reykjavík to stay at a premium hotel by the Old Harbor.

    • We are off to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, a magical place where nature, culture, and history come together. We visit the ice-capped Snæfellsjökull volcano, the iconic “Arrowhead Mountain” known as Kirkjufell, and the Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall. We also head to Ytri Tunga beach, one of the best places in Iceland to spot several species of seals. To conclude our final day of adventure, we gather for a delightful farewell dinner to share stories and laughs from our time together on the island.

    • It’s time to wave goodbye to the enchanting Island of Fire & Ice as your Icelandic adventure comes to an end. While the tour concludes today, the memories of the glaciers, hot springs, and the total eclipse will last a lifetime. Please note that airport transfers are not included; however, we recommend the Flybus coach service, which offers convenient hotel pick-ups throughout Reykjavík for your journey to Keflavík International Airport.

    • This Iceland eclipse 2026 tour requires a decent level of fitness. In general, you will walk a couple of hours a day, one day you’ll even go on a glacier hike, but it’s all suitable for beginners. The most you’ll hike in a day is 7 km (4.3 mi) with a very manageable elevation gain.

      You can find day-by-day hikes and activities in the itinerary. Keep in mind that there will be plenty of time to rest, to relax in geothermal hot springs, and be re-energized for a new day!

      For your own well-being and safety, we strongly suggest following the advice of this equipment list. This includes having good quality rain gear, tops, and bottoms. Cotton clothing is not appropriate for any strenuous outdoor activity—nor are jeans and cotton t-shirts. Modern outdoor clothing is by far more comfortable and will greatly improve your experience.

        • There are both mixed-group departures as well as women-only departures available.
        • Solo travelers are welcomed and encouraged to sign up—you can either opt for a single supplement or you can choose to share a room with one of your fellow travelers! Note that a single supplement will never be enforced—in case there’s an odd number of travellers, solo travellers will take turns staying in single rooms.

    • To get to the Iceland eclipse 2026 tour, fly into Keflavík International Airport (KEF), serving Reykjavik. From there, it’s best to hop on a shuttle to Reykjavik, or you can take a taxi. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Reykjavik.

      It’s recommended to arrive by the afternoon so you could settle in, maybe take a stroll around downtown, and then meet your team and your guide!
