  • Embark on a thrilling winter adventure with a private ski & sail tour through the stunning Lofoten archipelago! Over five to seven days, we’ll ski untouched slopes and sail through snow-covered fjords, with jaw-dropping peaks and the Northern Lights as our backdrop. We’ll stay onboard the HMS Gåssten, a beautifully restored warship, and our expert crew will make sure everything runs smoothly. Whether carving fresh powder or soaking in the Arctic beauty, each day is tailored to your group’s skill level and preferences. With full-board gourmet meals, drinks, and private airport transfers included, this is the ultimate way to experience winter in one of Norway’s most scenic destinations.

    • Welcome to Norway! Once you land at Svolvær Airport, a private transfer will take your group to Henningsvær to board HMS Gåssten. The crew will welcome us with drinks and canapés, and we will meet our IFMGA ski guide for a briefing on the week’s activities.

We’ll set sail to the first anchorage, carefully selected by the ski guide to provide the perfect starting point for the first ski tour in the morning. We’ll enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains as the boat makes its way through the fjords. We’ll arrive in time for dinner, prepared with the finest local ingredients, and settle into the comfort of the saloon or deck. If conditions allow, we might catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights before spending our first night onboard.

    • The day starts with a hearty breakfast before heading out to one of Lofoten’s premier ski touring spots. Here we enjoy untouched powder slopes, taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding fjords. We’ll pause for a picnic lunch in the mountains before setting off again to explore more of the terrain.

We’ll end the day’s ski tour with an exhilarating descent and return to the boat for some warm afternoon tea. We can spend the evening relaxing in the saloon or on deck as the boat sails toward the next destination. Take in the stunning scenery—and watch for wildlife along the way! We’ll anchor in a secluded fjord for the night, and we’ll enjoy a well-earned dinner surrounded by snow-covered peaks beneath the starry Arctic sky.

    • Today we sail towards Trollfjorden, one of Norway’s most dramatic fjords, with an entrance so narrow that it appears almost hidden between jagged mountain peaks. According to Norwegian folklore, this fjord is home to trolls, which adds an element of magic to its already breathtaking landscape.

Today’s ski tour will take us through pristine terrain with panoramic views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. We’ll reach a remote cabin at Trollfjordhytta, accessible only by ski or foot, where we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing the descent through deep snow and varied terrain back to the shore. Once back aboard the HMS Gåssten, we can relax with afternoon tea, then sail through the towering cliffs of the narrow fjord before anchoring in nearby Raftsundet for the night.

    • We sail through the Raftsundet strait toward Digermulen, a lesser-traveled area known for its pristine slopes and abundant wildlife. We’ll enjoy a morning ski tour in this remote and peaceful setting, taking in the vast and untouched landscape.

With a packed lunch in hand, we can continue exploring the mountains of Digermulen, far from the more frequented ski destinations. After an adventurous day in the snow, we return to the boat and sail to a sheltered cove. We’ll unwind in the warmth of the saloon before sitting down for dinner to reflect on the day’s exploration together.

    • Today starts with a morning sail to Austnesfjorden, a stunning fjord surrounded by towering mountains. This area is renowned for its diverse and challenging ski terrain, with rewarding descents and long, scenic tours. A highlight of the day is the ascent of Geitgaljen, a peak rising 1,085 m (3,560 ft) above sea level. Those who reach the summit are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the fjord, mountains, and open sea stretching toward the horizon.

After a full day of skiing, we’ll return to the boat to relax and take in the Arctic scenery. We’ll spend the afternoon exploring the fjord from the deck before anchoring in a peaceful bay for the night to enjoy dinner and discuss the next day’s adventure with our guide.
