Explore rolling dales, limestone pavements, and iconic spots like Malham Cove while enjoying daily guided walks, accommodation, breakfasts, and transfers included. With peaceful scenery, charming villages, and evenings free to relax in local pubs, it’s the perfect blend of nature, comfort, and classic English countryside charm.

    • We arrive at Leeds Bradford Airport or Ilkley Train Station by midday and transfer to Settle, our base for the next four nights. After settling in, we head out for a gentle afternoon walk—a perfect warm-up for the days ahead. The Settle Circuit offers a taste of the Yorkshire Dales with its crags, caves, and wide views over the town below.

    • We transfer to Ribbleshead and begin our hike beneath the impressive Ribblehead Viaduct—a masterpiece of Victorian engineering. From here, we follow the valley before climbing steadily to the summit of Ingleborough, one of Yorkshire’s famous Three Peaks. The descent leads us through striking limestone pavements to Horton-in-Ribblesdale, where our transfer back to Settle awaits.

    • We set off directly from Settle, climbing onto the open moors with sweeping views across the Dales. The path leads past dramatic limestone scars and towards the iconic Malham Cove, where scenes from Harry Potter were filmed. We explore Gordale Scar’s hidden waterfall, the enchanting Janet’s Foss, and the charming village of Malham before looping back to Settle through stunning limestone country.

      Malham Cove Yorkshire
    • After a short transfer to Clapham, we begin our final walk linking some of the most picturesque villages in the Dales—Austwick, Feizor, and Stainforth. The route passes quiet lanes, rolling hills, and another lovely waterfall before following the River Ribble south back to Settle. It’s a perfect finale combining classic scenery and timeless Yorkshire charm.

    • After breakfast, we say farewell to the Dales and transfer to Ilkley Train Station or Leeds Bradford Airport — both about an hour away.

    • In order to join this Yorkshire Dales hiking tour, good fitness is required. You have to be able to walk for 4-7 hours per day. The most you’ll hike within a day is up to 16 km (10 mi), with 570 m (1,870 ft) of elevation gain/loss. For day-by-day distances and elevation changes, check out the itinerary.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Day pack large enough to carry everything you might need throughout the day (around a 25-40L bag)
        • Hiking poles — optional
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
        • Lightweight hiking boots or shoes
        • Comfortable hiking clothes 
        • Spare clothes for layering
        • Waterproof rain jacket
        • Sunhat

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this Yorkshire Dales hiking tour, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 8:1. 
        • It takes a minimum of 2 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 8 to 12 participants.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Yorkshire Dales hiking tour on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has participants under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • The price for this Yorkshire Dales hiking tour is based on twin-share rooms, but a single occupancy room can be arranged at an additional fee. Leave us a note at checkout if you’re interested in having a room to yourself.

    • The starting point of your Yorkshire Dales hiking tour is either Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA), or the Ilkley train station—it depends on what suits you better. Your guides will come pick you up at around 12 p.m. (noon) on Day 1 and take you to Settle, it should take about an hour.

      Your guides can also help organize a hotel for the night before, leave us a note at checkout if interested.
