Acknowledgement of risks and waiver agreement

Liability waivers are a standard part of all guided outdoor adventures. For this trip, acknowledging the risks and agreeing to sign the waiver is mandatory before the trip. This is required in order to join the adventure—so we ask you to check the box below if you agree with it.

You are required to bring a printed copy on the trip. If you have any questions, please reach out to us prior to booking or learn more about this in the Things to know (FAQ) section.

Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

Basic
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 90 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 89 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after a 48 hours grace period.
Flexible
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 90 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled 60-89 days before departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after 48 hours grace period.
Super Flexible
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.

  • Don't want to just pick one type of ski trip? Come ski Canada’s West Coast and sample a variety of different skiing, not just one main entrée! A pro guide will take you straight to hidden powder, stunning peaks, and glacier lines in the Coast Range. The trip features two heli-access days—Garibaldi and Tantalus—plus backcountry runs from S2S Gondola, Whistler, and the Gargoyles or Anif areas. Just the perfect mix of terrain and adventure for serious powder seekers.

    • Make sure to arrive a day prior to your backcountry skiing adventure—you’ll be based in Whistler, BC. Use this day to meet your team, your guide, and review the upcoming days. Get a good night’s rest!

    • To get our ski legs under us, we’ll kick things off with a full day of helicopter-accessed ski touring off Garibaldi, with the possibility of tagging the summit. Garibaldi, a dormant stratovolcano, sits at 2,678 m (8,786 feet).

    • Today we’ll head out for a full day of backcountry skiing, with access either from the Sea to Sky Gondola or Whistler, depending on conditions.

    • We’ll spend the day ski touring in the Tantalus Range, accessing this zone by helicopter for a full day of untouched lines and big mountain terrain.

    • One day of ski touring in the Gargoyles or Anif areas is ahead of us, exploring rugged alpine terrain and hunting for the best powder turns these zones have to offer!

    • In order to ski Canada’s West Coast, a good fitness level is required. Though almost any skill level can be accommodated, you’ll want some powder skiing skills to enjoy the tour.

    • Liability waivers are a standard part of all guided outdoor adventures. Recently, the requirements have become a bit more rigorous for ACMG guides—meaning that you’ll need to agree to the signing of the waiver at the time of booking.

      Prior to booking, we ask you to review the waiver. During the checkout process, you’ll have to acknowledge the risks and agree to the signing of the waiver. You are required to bring a printed copy on the trip.

    • To ski Canada’s West Coast, mandatory gear can be rented if you don’t have your own. You can rent the following gear with Premium Mountain:

        • Avalanche safety pack (including backpack, beacon, shovel, and probe)
        • Alpine touring or telemark skis, touring boots, and poles
        • Splitboards

      Ski rental locations are in Whistler and should be picked up the night prior to your outing. If you need to rent gear, let us know and we can help make arrangements.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For skiing Canada’s West Coast, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 6:1. 
        • It takes a minimum of 4 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 10 participants.

      Skiing in Canada’s West Coast can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join in on skiing Canada’s West Coast on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has participants under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • The price for skiing Canada’s West Coast is based on twin-share rooms, but a single occupancy room can be arranged at an additional fee. Let us know if interested at checkout.

    • The starting point of skiing Canada’s West Coast tour is Whistler, BC. To get there, most people fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR). From there, you can take a shuttle service, public transport, or rent a car to reach Whistler. If interested, shuttles can be arranged—let us know if interested at checkout.

      You’ll meet your guide the day before the tour begins. Since skiing starts right away on Day 1, your first night’s accommodation is included to ensure you’re rested and ready.
