  • Set out on an epic voyage as you take part in this sailing and multisport adventure in Lofoten, one of the most beautiful Norwegian archipelagos. Discover villages, fjords, mountains and impressive landscapes as you go for a hike, kayak across Lofoten’s blue waters, catch and cook fish, trail run, and look for camping spots. Have delicious meals prepared by your guide, relax by reading books and hanging out with your fellow adventurers, and experience life on board.

    • After you arrive on Sunday evening or Monday morning, your guiding service will pick you up at the airport in a van and you’ll head to Moondance, your sailing ship and home for the next 5 days. The ship is docked in the harbor of Lødingen, about an hour away from the airport. Once you get to the ship, your guides will tell you all you need to know about the upcoming adventure, talk you through the plans for the week, and explain all the safety precautions. They’ll also let you know how you can contribute to the work that has to be done while sailing.

After a cup of tea or coffee, you’ll set sail and reach a beautiful island called Svellingsflaket after 4-5 hours of sailing. You’ll arrive there at about 4 pm. You can go for a walk on the island, paddle in a kayak, or read a book on board while the crew prepares a fresh meal. You’ll spend the first night here.

    • Go for a swim after a delicious breakfast and set sail to reach an unnamed fjord. It will take around 4 hours and 22 miles to get there and once you arrive you’ll sail next to the islands situated in this fjord. You and the rest of the group might have a little fishing contest here! After an hour, there will be enough fish for everyone and you’ll sail to an anchorage within a matter of minutes. You’ll get a filleting lesson and the fish that you caught will be prepared for dinner. After the early dinner, you’ll go on a 3-hour hike to a camping spot next to the lake called Saetervatnet.

    • After you wake up and have your breakfast, you’ll spend the day walking down a mountain and the crew will pick you up for a late and well-deserved dinner. You’ll then start sailing to the harbor of Kuholmen, where you’ll spend the rest of the day kayaking with a guide. In the evening, you’ll have some free time. Hit the hay early or read a book and prepare for the next day.

    • After a good night’s rest, you’ll set sail to the harbor of Lødingen. It takes around 8 hours to get there, making this the longest sailing trip of the week. Take in the beautiful landscapes along the way and put your newly-learned sailing skills to use while the crew is supervising the trip. After you arrive, your guiding service won’t cook for you, but will take you to a local restaurant instead! Have a delicious meal at the restaurant and spend some time relaxing on the sailing ship.

Your guiding service will drive you to the airport and you’ll say your goodbyes. Make sure you reminisce about all the exciting memories you’ve experienced during your stay on Moondance.
