Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • Choose this itinerary to sail from Tromsø to Alta through the classic terrain of the Lyngen Alps and West Finnmark, with possible stops at Kågen, Arnøya, Seiland, and the fjords surrounding Øksfjord and Stjernøya. Inclusions and everything else is the same as with other itineraries.

Set off on a skiing and sailing adventure through the breathtaking Norwegian fjords! We'll carve through some of Norway's best lines over 6 skiing days with expert mountain guides. Our home for the week will be the spacious Saeftinghe sailboat, where we'll sleep in comfortable cabins, enjoy a full board, and unwind with coffee and tea. With convenient Zodiac transfers, we'll easily reach the most stunning ski spots. Pack your skis and get ready for the journey of a lifetime!

    • We meet at the pier in Tromsø harbor at 4pm to board the Saeftinghe, our home for the week. After settling in, we’ll share a welcome drink with the Captain and crew, who will share important safety information and trip logistics. We’ll set sail into the breathtaking fjords and enjoy a multi-course dinner on board, sharing our excitement for the adventures ahead.

      Meals: Dinner
      Accommodation: Saeftinghe sailboat

    • Each day begins with a hearty breakfast to fuel us for our adventures ahead. We explore the classic ski touring terrain between Tromsø, the Lyngen Alps, and West Finnmark, using the ship’s mobility to chase the best snow and weather. Possible destinations include Kågen, Arnøya, Seiland, and the fjords surrounding Øksfjord and Stjernøya—long spring descents directly to the sea, glaciated alpine terrain, and increasingly stable snow conditions at their best. From the boat, we skin up routes that would take days to access by land. After a big day on the slopes, we return to the Saeftinghe for dinner and to plan the next day’s exploration.

      Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
      Accommodation: Saeftinghe sailboat

    • On our final morning, we will disembark in Alta in time for everyone to make their flights. We’ll take a moment to soak in the stunning fjords one last time before heading to the airport.

      Meals: Breakfast

    • You’ll need great fitness and intermediate skiing experience to enjoy this Norway fjords ski holiday. You’ll climb and descend up to 1,500 m (4,920 ft) daily, often through variable snow conditions and across glaciated terrain, with peaks ranging from 700 to 1,200 m (2,300 to 3,940 ft) above sea level.

To successfully tackle each day, you should feel comfortable on Black Diamond slopes, even if you take your time to navigate them. However, the terrain may include advanced pitches, steeper tree runs, and rugged alpine sections.

Snow conditions will vary widely—from icy stretches and deep powder to hard-packed or wind-affected surfaces. If you’re confident skiing in these diverse conditions and have the endurance for challenging climbs, you’ll be well-prepared for this unique ski adventure in the fjords.
