  • Get ready for the best vibes on the Spanish coast: world-class climbs, fantastic town, delicious local food, and climbing with incredible views of Africa. Join us on this 4-day retreat in the south of Spain, the majestic Andalusia region, and let’s dedicate 3 days to climbing! An experienced and certified rock climber will be by your side, helping you achieve your goals whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced climber. Accommodation, daily transfers, and climbing guide included!

    • Meet your guide and settle into your accommodation. Depending on availability and the season, lodging options include tourist apartments or local hotels. The afternoon is yours to explore Tarifa and savor its sunset over the Atlantic. Make sure to experience local bars, cuisine, and nightlife. If you’re fond of seafood, you’re in the right spot! Tarifa is also renowned as one of the world’s kite surfing hubs, boasting terrific beaches and excellent vibes.

Accommodation: Hotel or apartment in Tarifa

      Tarifa kitesurfing hotspot
    • These two days are fully dedicated to climbing. We’ll take you to one of the numerous crags in the region and spend our day there. We’ll select an area that aligns with your preferences, considering factors like weather and wind, and you’ll have the opportunity to explore three distinct areas, each with its own unique features and qualities. After these three days of climbing, you’ll have gained a glimpse of what this area has to offer, perhaps sparking your interest in staying longer and exploring other parts of the majestic Andalusia! Day 4 marks the end of the guided adventure, but one more night is included in the price.

        • Accommodation for 4 nights in a local hotel/apartment
        • Daily transfers from accommodation to climbing crags (if there’s a larger group coming, they will need to arrange their own transfers—please contact us if you have a large group)
        • Ropes and quickdraws
        • Public liability insurance

      What’s not included:

        • Transportation to Tarifa, Spain
        • Meals
        • Anything not mentioned above
        • Personal climbing equipment (climbing shoes, harness, belay devices, helmet)
        • Guide gratuities — optional
        • Travel and medical insurance — optional
    • This Tarifa climbing holiday in Spain is beginner-friendly! The program is specifically tailored for beginner and intermediate climbers. Good physical shape is important, but don’t worry—regardless of your climbing grade, you’ll always find a partner matching your level, and if that’s not the case, your guide will be there for you.

Rock climbing is more about using good movement technique rather than muscling up a cliff using brute strength. To ensure you have a fun retreat, your guide will be there to supervise the climbing and to help all the climbers to improve their skills, and to choose routes that best suit your skill and fitness level.

    • Your guide will bring ropes and quickdraws for the group. It’s recommended that you bring your own climbing shoes, harness, belay devices, and helmet if you use one. There are no rental shops in Tarifa, so it’s best to bring your own equipment. If you’d like to bring your own ropes and quickdraws, that’s even better since you’re used to them.

For colder months (October through February), it’s advisable to bring along some warm clothing, particularly for the afternoons and evenings. Additionally, pack shorts and several t-shirts as it can get hot during midday when exposed to the sun.

Here’s an overview of what you need to bring:

        • Personal climbing equipment
        • Day pack
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
        • Approach shoes

        • Toiletries (hand sanitizer, bug spray, toilet paper, etc.)
        • Sunglasses
        • Camera — optional (but recommended)
