Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

  • In case of cancellation within 48 hours after booking, the amount paid is fully refundable.
  • For cancellations 60 or more days before the trip, you are eligible for a 70% refund of the trip price.
  • For cancellations 0-59 days before the trip, there is no refund.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after 48 hours grace period.

  • In case of cancellation within 48 hours after booking, the amount paid is fully refundable.

    • Adventure tours have a lot of moving parts. This is a rough idea of what to expect, though exact details may change as we work to create the best possible experience for you.

    • Meet your new ski friends as we pick you up from the Marriott Downtown Hotel’s lobby in Calgary at 2pm. We then drive 4 hours to Fernie, BC, where the fun begins! We’ll check into the Fernie Mountain Lodge, your cozy home for the next two nights. Unwind and get ready for the adventure ahead.

    • Explore Fernie’s incredible terrain, featuring 5 epic bowls and 1 alpine peak, each with its fair share of secret lines, tree runs, and wide-open powder slopes. There’s nothing like a weekday powder day at Fernie! After a thrilling day on the slopes, we’ll return to the lodge to relax and share stories over a delicious dinner.

    • Didn’t ski all the powder on the first day? No problem! We’ll head back for another round, putting our signature tracks on some of Fernie’s best laps. In the late afternoon, we’ll hop in the van and head 3.5 hours west to Nelson, BC. Along the way, we’ll stop for dinner and enjoy the scenic drive through the mountains.

    • Today, we dive into the incredible terrain of Whitewater Ski Resort, famous for its big dumps and endless tree runs. Every turn here is a delight, seemingly crafted by the shred gods themselves. After a full day of skiing, we’ll head back to Nelson to explore its vibrant food scene.

    • Another day of amazing skiing awaits us at Whitewater. We’ll carve through picture-perfect trees and enjoy the serene quiet of the slopes. Nelson, known for both its hipster and hippie vibe, offers legendary dining options with farm-to-table restaurants, pubs, breweries, and diners on every corner. Enjoy some free time exploring the town and indulging in its culinary delights.

    • This morning, we head to Rossland, home of Red Mountain, the birthplace of freeskiing in Canada. The terrain here begs us to let loose and enjoy the powder flowing over our ears as we rip through rolling meadows of underrated and seldom-shredded snow. After an exhilarating day, we’ll settle into our lodge in Rossland.

    • Another day of paradise awaits us as we ski the trees, bowls, and open slopes of Red Mountain. Enjoy lunch on the sunny deck of Paradise Lodge and finish off the day with a local beer in Rafter’s Bar, which holds legendary status in ski literature. After skiing, we’ll transfer 4 hours to Revelstoke, with a stop for dinner and a soak in some local hot springs en route.

    • Today, we explore Revelstoke, a haven for early Swiss mountaineers who created a ski hill over a century ago. We’ll ski multiple alpine bowls, hike to secret runs off Subpeak, and explore hidden tree lines. Revelstoke offers endless terrain and bottomless snow, making it a skier’s paradise.

    • Revelstoke has far too much terrain to conquer in just one day, so we’ll take another crack at it. Enjoy the snow and the views, and tackle runs like “Kill the Banker” if you dare. In the evening, we’ll gather to share stories and sample local beers, chatting about our day’s adventures.

    • We wake up bright and early and hit the road through Rogers Pass to Kicking Horse. This drive is an adventure in itself, with majestic peaks in all directions and over 140 avalanche paths affecting the highway and railway. Once at Kicking Horse, the real fun begins. We’ll hike with our guide to Terminator Peaks for sneaky lines or explore other secret runs.

    • Kicking Horse is heaven on earth, so we’ll spend another day skiing the steeps and powder lines at this resort. The snow stays so soft here because most of the terrain faces north! After a thrilling day, we’ll relax at our lodge, reminiscing about the incredible week we’ve had.

    • Today, we check out and begin our trip back to Calgary, but the fun isn’t over. We’ll stop in Banff for a final soak in the hot springs, known for their healing mineral waters. You can get transferred with us to Calgary or hop off in Banff if you’d like to extend your trip and ski in the Rockies. Calgary drop-off is expected at 2 pm. Say goodbye to your BC ski guide(s), fellow powderhounds and to Canada—or continue touring on your own!

        • An experienced, certified ski guide(s) with extensive knowledge of the area
        • 10 days of off-piste and powder skiing in different resorts in British Columbia (Fernie, Whitewater, Red Mountain, Revelstoke, and Kicking Horse)
        • All ski passes for the duration of the tour (10 in total)
        • Accommodation in 3-star hotels during the adventure based on double occupancy (11 nights)
        • All transportation during the adventure (including transportation back to your hotel/airport in Calgary)

    • To participate in this guided Powder Highway skiing adventure in British Columbia, a strong fitness level is essential. Skiers/snowboarders should confidently handle advanced slopes (black resort runs) and preferably have some experience with off-piste runs and powder terrain. To prepare for this guided ski trip in British Columbia, focus on enhancing your overall fitness level. Engage in cardiovascular exercises and strength training to build endurance and muscle stamina.

      Keep in mind that you will always have a guide by your side to help you with technique and adjust the skiing or snowboarding to your group’s overall fitness and skill level. You will also use ski lifts to reach your objectives more easily.

    • To fully enjoy this Powder Highway ski road trip in British Columbia, it is recommended that participants have some experience in off-piste terrain and powder skiing. Skiers should also confidently handle advanced resort slopes (black runs). Strengthening your skiing abilities in variable conditions and honing powder techniques will enhance your preparedness for the unique challenges of the British Columbia backcountry.

      That said, you don’t need to have experience with backcountry skiing or ski touring. You will always have a guide by your side to help you with technique and adjust the skiing to your group’s overall fitness and skill level. You will also use ski lifts to reach your off-piste objectives more easily.

    • For technical backcountry ski touring gear, you will need to bring:

        • Alpine touring skis/snowboard appropriate for powder skiing or splitboard with skins (can be rented)
        • Ski/snowboard boots (can be rented)
        • Ski poles (can be rented)

      For personal items, we recommend bringing:

        • Helmet
        • Ski goggles
        • Gloves and hat
        • Wind and waterproof shell jacket with hood (Gore-Tex recommended)
        • Ski pants (Gore-Tex recommended)
        • Down jacket or vest
        • Synthetic or wool base layers, underwear and socks
        • Water bottles (2L capacity in total)
        • Thermos for a warm beverage — optional
        • Sunscreen
        • Daypack large enough to carry all items listed (around a 30-40L backpack)
        • Camera — optional (but recommended!)

      The list of equipment and clothing may be different depending on the weather conditions and other factors. You’ll be able to discuss your packing list and equipment with your guide prior to the adventure.

    • During the Powder Highway ski road trip in Whitewater, Revelstoke, and other resorts in British Columbia, you’ll enjoy 11 nights of accommodation in comfortable 3-star hotels and lodges. Many of these accommodations feature hot tubs, fitness rooms, and laundry facilities, ensuring a relaxing and convenient stay. Rooms are based on double occupancy. While meals are not included, we arrange for the group to dine at the best cafes and restaurants in each town, allowing you to savor the local cuisine at your leisure.

    • Accommodation in single rooms can be arranged for an added fee of $915 per person.

    • Skiing/snowboarding equipment can be rented for an added fee of $295 per person.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this group adventure, the maximum client-to-guide ratio is 6:1, while the maximum number of participants is 12.
        • This tour can run with just one participant.

      Powder Highway skiing adventure in British Columbia can be arranged for private and for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors older than 15 may be permitted to join the hike on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has hikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • To get to Calgary, the starting point of the tour, most people fly into Calgary International Airport. We recommend arriving in Calgary at least one day before the tour (if arriving from a distant location) so that you can get enough rest before the adventure begins.

      You will meet your guide and fellow skiers at Marriott Downtown Hotel’s comfortable lobby in Calgary at 2pm, followed by a transfer to your first destination. At the end of the tour, you’ll be dropped off either at the airport or your hotel in Calgary at 2pm.

    • It is highly recommended that all participants be covered with internationally-recognized medical and rescue insurance. That way, if you have an accident or medical emergency on or off the mountain, you’ll avoid paying out of pocket for costly expenses. This covers everything from hospital treatments to emergency air transportation and more.

      We also strongly recommend that all participants cover their bases with travel insurance that will cover canceled flights, natural disasters and other scenarios that may interrupt your travel plans.
      We also expect you to respect local regulations and take measures to protect yourselves, your guides, and the communities you’re traveling to.
