Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

• • Touring skis, splitboard or climbing snowshoes (skis with touring bindings and skins, or a split board with skins) — rentals available
  • Ski poles with powder baskets (for snowboarders, collapsible poles will be required)
  • Wind and waterproof hard shell
  • Down jacket
  • Spare thermals
  • Spare clothes for layering

  • Gloves (warm and well fitting gloves for skiing)

Group sizes and pricing

• • For these Hokkaido ski holidays, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 4:1.
  • It takes a minimum of 1 person for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 4 participants.

Hokkaido ski holidays can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

Min. age requirements

• • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
  • Minors older than 15 may be permitted to join the Hokkaido ski holidays on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

If your group has participants under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

The starting point of your Hokkaido ski holidays is your accommodation in Japan, preferably and ideally in Asahikawa. To get there, most people fly into New Chitose Airport (CTS). From there, you can use public transport or rent a car to reach your accommodation in Asahikawa.

Once you’re there, you will meet your guide at a predetermined time (usually before 8:30am) in front of your accommodation in Asahikawa.

Accommodations are not included in the price of this adventure, so you’ll have to choose the accommodation at your own expense. Your guide will provide more details before the adventure starts.
