Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

Basic
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after a 48-hour grace period.
Flexible
  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled 30-59 days before departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 29 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after 48 hours grace period.
Super Flexible

Three days minimum, up to ten-hour days, and just four skiers per group means more turns, more powder, and zero wasted time. If you’re serious about skiing, this is where you need to be.

    • Let’s chase deep powder and untouched lines in Central Hokkaido’s biggest mountains! This multi-day adventure blends lift-accessed and backcountry skiing across Central Hokkaido. With colder, drier snow that stays fresh into April, we’ll have prime conditions long after other resorts are tracked out. Whether you’re a seasoned skier or looking to push your limits, expert guides will ensure an unforgettable ride through Japan’s legendary powder playground, with up to 10 hours on snow each day.

      At checkout, you’ll be able to choose anywhere from 3 to 10 days of guided backcountry skiing.

    • These Hokkaido ski holidays are beginner-friendly, which means that anyone with a good fitness level can join in. You must be comfortable with spending up to 10 hours on snow each day.

      Whether you’re a beginner seeking new experiences or a competent backcountry skiing enthusiast craving advanced level terrain, the guides will cater to all skill levels.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Touring skis, splitboard or climbing snowshoes (skis with touring bindings and skins, or a split board with skins) — rentals available
        • Ski poles with powder baskets (for snowboarders, collapsible poles will be required)
        • Wind and waterproof hard shell
        • Down jacket
        • Spare thermals
        • Spare clothes for layering
        • Facemask or balaclava
        • Gloves (warm and well fitting gloves for skiing)
        • Hiking gloves/glove liners
        • Goggles (bring goggles with high light and low light lenses if possible)
        • Sunglasses
        • Sun protection, lip balm
        • Avalanche safety equipment and minimum 20L backpack (beacon, shovel, probe) — rentals available
        • Snacks

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For these Hokkaido ski holidays, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 4:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 1 person for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 4 participants.

      Hokkaido ski holidays can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors older than 15 may be permitted to join the Hokkaido ski holidays on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has participants under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • The starting point of your Hokkaido ski holidays is your accommodation in Japan, preferably and ideally in Asahikawa. To get there, most people fly into New Chitose Airport (CTS). From there, you can use public transport or rent a car to reach your accommodation in Asahikawa.

      Once you’re there, you will meet your guide at a predetermined time (usually before 8:30am) in front of your accommodation in Asahikawa.

      Accommodations are not included in the price of this adventure, so you’ll have to choose the accommodation at your own expense. Your guide will provide more details before the adventure starts.
