Keep in mind, the weather in summer can change and you’ll also be packing a 35-50L backpack filled with water and other things you’ll need throughout the day.

    • You will spend your night in a combination of campsites and refugios, depending on location and availability.

Camping facilities will be minimal with access to clean bathrooms and hot showers. Wild camping is prohibited in the national park. Refugios are spaced out along the trail and offer a limited number of beds.

Refugios often have a restaurant serving hot meals and a fully stocked bar where you can get trail snacks or full meals.
