When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

  • If canceled 90 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 89 days of departure, no refund will be issued.

    • We gather for our first day in Ponte de Lima, one of Portugal’s oldest and most charming towns. After a private transfer from Porto, we settle into our elegant retreat surrounded by nature, perfect for resting before the journey begins. The afternoon is yours to explore the historic center or enjoy the hotel’s amenities, including the indoor heated pool and golf course, as we prepare for the days ahead.

    • We depart the Lima River valley for one of the most demanding yet rewarding stages of the Portuguese Central Way. The route leads us through traditional rural landscapes and forested paths, featuring the significant ascent to Labruja with steady gradients reaching 10%. After conquering the Alto da Portela Grande, we finish our walking stage at the Church of Rubiães before a private transfer takes us to our riverside accommodation in Vila Nova de Cerveira.

      Ponte de Lima bridge
    • The day begins with a short but steady climb through the forest before transitioning into rolling terrain. We pass through traditional villages and the historic Valença Fortress, where we stop to enjoy views over the Minho River and the Spanish border. Our walk concludes with a scenic crossing into Spain as we arrive in the historic town of Tui. We finish the day at a charming riverside hotel that offers panoramic views of the area’s unique fortifications.

      Vilarinho aqueduct
    • We quickly move into quiet forested paths and rural tracks as we head deeper into Spain. The stage features a gentle early climb that sets a consistent rhythm for the day before we descend toward O Porriño. This balanced section combines natural beauty with steady terrain, marking the end of our walking stage for the day. From here, a private transfer takes us to the vibrant city of Vigo to stay in an elegant hotel right in the heart of the town.

      Valenca in Portugal
    • Departing O Porriño, we climb through woodland paths toward the Alto de Mos, the defining ascent of this stage. The climb is steady and rewards us with wide views before we begin our descent toward Redondela. The final kilometers offer a scenic approach with views over the Ría de Vigo and its famous bridges. After finishing the walk, we take a private transfer back to our base in Vigo for another comfortable and refined night.

      Hiking in the streets of Redondela
    • Today we climb briefly out of Redondela before the path settles into a mix of forest trails and rural roads. The terrain is mostly rolling, allowing for a comfortable pace as we pass through small villages and approach the Ría de Pontevedra. The stage concludes in the historic city of Pontevedra, known for its warm welcome to pilgrims. We stay in a charming boutique hotel close to nature, offering a very personal experience and a quiet atmosphere.

      Pontevedra square
    • The route out of Pontevedra features a gentle, sustained ascent before opening up into rolling terrain through woodland and rural countryside. With no major climbs, this is a comfortable and steady day on the Camino that emphasizes green landscapes and quiet paths. We finish the stage in Caldas de Reis, a town famous for its thermal springs and restful atmosphere. Our hotel is centrally located and features a seasonal outdoor pool for relaxation.

      Santa Maria de Alba church
    • Leaving the river valley, the path follows quiet rural roads and woodland paths toward the ascent to O Pino. This is the most demanding climb of the day, after which the route eases into rolling terrain heading toward Padrón. The stage ends with a gentle descent into this town, which is deeply connected to Camino history. A short transfer brings us to a historic 16th-century manor house where we can relax in the gardens and pool.

    • Our final walking stage builds with anticipation as we pass through Galician villages and forested paths. We tackle the long but gentle climb to O Milladoiro, the emotional high point where we can catch our first glimpse of the city. The path then leads us through historic streets to the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. We celebrate our arrival at an elegant hotel in a converted 18th-century convent, located just steps from the cathedral.

    • On our final morning, we enjoy a last breakfast in the historic heart of Santiago. Our journey concludes with a private transfer from Santiago back to Porto Airport, bringing this unforgettable pilgrimage to a close. As we head home, we carry the memories of the landscapes, cultures, and traditions shared along the Way.

    • In order to join this 10-day Camino de Santiago, a good fitness level is required to participate. The adventure features some challenging climbs like the Serra da Labruja, balanced by peaceful stretches alongside rivers and medieval churches.

      Expect to hike up to 25 km (15.5 mi) per day. You can find detailed day-by-day hiking distances in the itinerary. The routes around 65% off-road, with some singletracks.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Day pack large enough to carry everything you might need throughout the day (around a 25-40L bag)

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this 10-day Camino de Santiago walk, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 6:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 6 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 18 participants.

      10-day Camino de Santiago walks can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors older than 12 may be permitted to join the 10-day Camino de Santiago on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

    • The price for this 10-day Camino de Santiago is based on twin-share rooms, but a single occupancy room can be arranged at an additional fee. You can add it to your booking at checkout.

    • The starting point of your 10-day Camino de Santiago is Ponte de Lima, Portugal. To get there, most people fly into Vigo Airport (VGO). From there, you can take a shuttle service, public transport, or rent a car to reach Ponte de Lima.

      Once you’re there, you will meet your guide at a predetermined time in a predetermined place. Your guide will provide more details before the adventure begins.
