    • The unforgettable tour of Utah’s Mighty Five begins! Your guiding service will meet you at Salt Lake City International Airport where you’ll jump in the van and head over to Moab, the base for your adventure. After a quick stop in town for lunch, you’ll check into your yurt. You’ll then meet the group and go on a sunset warm-up hike to get your first taste of Moab.

      In the evening, you’ll have dinner with the group while your guide gives you all the necessary information about the big day ahead of you. Before going to bed, make sure you check out the bright stars in the night sky.

    • Today you’ll wake up early in the morning before the sun rises and head straight out into Arches National Park. In this incredible park named for more than 2,000 natural stone arches scattered throughout its area, you’ll take a series of short hikes along different trails and witness the incredible formations including the iconic Delicate Arch which can be found on Utah’s license plates. After enjoying lunch in the park, you’ll head on a whitewater rafting tour on the glorious Colorado River. This energizing experience allows you to feel the cooling splashes from the rapids (I & II class) in Utah’s hot desert and enjoy some swim time.

    • After a filling breakfast, make your way to Canyonlands National Park in the Needles District. Admire the sun rising over the canyon before tackling one of the park’s most beautiful and diverse trails–the Cheslers Peak Trail. Although challenging, this amazing hike awards you with incredible, big-sky views. The trail boasts versatile terrain ranging from grasslands and sand dunes to slickrock and slot canyons. Cap off the night with a sunset at Dead Horse Point, where you’ll be glamping.

    • After a delicious breakfast and a leisurely morning, head out on a tour of short hikes and overlooks in a marvelous district in Canyonlands NP called the Island in the Sky! After lunch and a stop in town, your guiding service will transfer you to the next destination—Capitol Reef. After arriving, you and the rest of the group will set up camp, have dinner, and settle in for an evening of camping beneath the starry skies.

    • Get ready for an exhilarating adventure—off-roading in a Jeep! After your breakfast, ride through one of Capitol Reef’s more remote regions: the Cathedra Valley district. You’ll visit the Temple of the Sun, Moon & Stars, Upper Cathedral Valley, Bentonite Hills, Jailhouse Rock, Walls of Jericho, and Glass Mountain. Have lunch in the park and embark on an afternoon hike in the Waterpocket Fold District. After you have dinner in the evening, enjoy s’mores next to the campfire.

    • Today you’ll take one more hike in Capitol Reef after you’ve packed up the camp and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Your next destination is Bryce Canyon. At 9,000 ft (2,743 m), the breathtaking Bryce Canyon National Park takes you to a whole new dimension. Once you set up a camp for the night, you’ll enjoy dinner and relax before a telescope tour in the darkest sky in the lower 48.

    • A full day of hiking amongst Bryce Canyon’s hoodoos is ahead of you! You’ll be surprised to learn that the other half of Bryce Canyon is a dense pine forest. Be on the lookout for the abundant wildlife in this area such as deer, elk, prairie dogs, and more! Enjoy your lunch in the park either on a trail or near an overlook. After a long day of hiking, you’ll enjoy your dinner and a campfire as your guide tells you all you need to know about the plans for the next day.

    • Waking up before dawn ensures the magnificent views of the sunrise over the canyon. After packing up your camp and enjoying a delicious breakfast, your guiding service will transfer you to your next destination—Zion National Park. Once you arrive, you’ll prepare for an unforgettable adventure—canyoneering! Spend the afternoon hiking, rappelling, down-climbing, stemming, and in some cases wading or swimming near Zion National Park. After your enticing adventure has finished, settle into your glamorous camping rooms (glamping) or hotel accommodations.

    • Spend the last full day in Zion national Park. You can expect to do 3 or 4 short hikes and discover why this national park has been so special to so many visitors, pioneers, and indigenous Americans. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner in town as you reflect on the past week with the group.

    • After your breakfast, your guide will drive you back through the desert to Salt Lake City in time for your departing flight.

      What’s not included:

    • In order to participate in this guided hiking and camping tour of Utah’s Mighty Five, you need to be fit and have a bit of hiking experience. Expect to spend 3-6 hours walking or hiking over the course of the day. You should also keep in mind that there will be elevation change and that you’ll have to carry backpacks with water and snacks. You’ll also participate in a whitewater rafting tour and canyoneering which includes rappelling, down-climbing, stemming, and in some cases wading or swimming.

    • A tent, sleeping pad, and group camping equipment will be provided by your guiding service.
      Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Backpack large enough to carry all the items listed (around a 15-30L bag)
        • Sleeping bag (available to rent)
        • Pack cover
        • Cotton or silk sleeping bag liner — optional (but recommended if renting)
        • Travel pillow
        • Earplugs
        • Hiking poles — optional
        • Reusable water bottles or bladders (3L total capacity)
        • Down, puffy fleece warm jacket
        • Waterproof rain jacket or shell
        • Breathable wicking base layers
        • Lightweight hiking pants

        • Wool socks (1 pair per day of trip)

      Luggage consisting of 1 small suitcase per person can be left in the vehicle. Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and prices:

        • For this group adventure, the max. client to guide ratio is 8:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 4 people for this tour to operate.
        • The cost does not decrease as the group grows.

      Hiking and camping in Utah’s Mighty Five can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements:

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the hike on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has hikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • To get to Salt Lake City, Utah, most people fly into Salt Lake City International Airport 10 minutes away from Salt Lake City. Once you arrive, your guiding service will pick you up at the airport at 9:30 am, so please book a flight that arrives by 9 am. Alternatively, you can be collected at your accommodation in Salt Lake City at 8:30 am if you’re already in town.

      Your guiding service will transfer you to Moab, the base for your adventure, and you’ll check into a yurt. The guide will choose the appropriate terrain dependent on conditions and the ability of the group.

      At the end of your adventure, your guiding service will drive you back to Salt Lake City in time for your departing flight. Alternatively, you can be dropped off at your accommodation in Salt Lake City if you’re staying on.

    • 57hours is committed to providing safe outdoor adventure experiences. We require all guides using our platform to have a COVID-19 safety plan and to make the details of that plan accessible to travelers. In most cases, group sizes will be reduced, guides will avoid overcrowded locations, and other safety measures will be met depending on the location and activity.
