Bike rentals are included in the price of this trip. Do you need a bike for this trip or do you have your own?
Choose the number of bikes you need to rent.
Your guide has to know which size of the frame you need prior to booking. If you need to rent several different bikes, leave us a note with all the sizes you might need. If you are not sure which size you need, add a note for the guide with your height and weight and we will contact you!
Take a break from the city and head to Dublin’s outskirts for a half-day cycling tour. You’ll cycle along serene roads, lush trails, and tow paths of the Grand Canal and the Guinness Way. Your guide put together a fantastic mix of the Irish countryside, historic stops along the way, and storytelling of the area’s folklore and myths. We don’t want you to leave the tour hungry, so to top it all off, you’ll stop off for a snack at a 19th-century period house!
What you get on this adventure:
What’s not included:
The bikes are top-quality, well-maintained city bikes that are easy to ride. Your guide has a partnership agreement with The Bike Stop on Capel St, near the Dublin city centre. Bikes and safety equipment (safety helmet, high visibility vest and basic mechanical repair equipment) are provided and included in the booking fee.
You are welcome to bring you own bike for a reduced fee. In such cases, you are responsible for the good working order of their bike.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.
If you’re taking the half-day cycling tour along the Guinness Way, you need to have a good level of fitness and be able to hike and cycle at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours with regular rest stops. If you’re going on a full-day tour of the Guinness Way, you need to have a strong level of fitness and be able to hike and cycle at a moderate pace for up to 8 hours. Keep in mind, opting for the full day option means more biking, which can be strenuous even if you’re going at a moderate pace.
Clients’ safety will always take priority. As the tours generally cover a certain amount of urban areas, they are not hazard free. Still, all routes are carefully designed to minimise if not eliminate hazards. The guide holds a ride leader certificate issued by Cycling Ireland, for additional safety and assurance of the participants.

We also expect clients to respect local regulations and take measures to protect themselves, their guides, and the communities they’re traveling to. For more information on COVID-19 measures in Ireland please refer to Ireland’s information on travel during COVID-19.
