Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • The Verdon Canyon hiking tour takes us deep into Provence’s untamed beauty, blending nature, history, and adventure. Over six days, we’ll hike dramatic ridges, explore medieval villages, and spot majestic vultures soaring above the turquoise Sainte-Croix lake. Each day brings a new discovery: ghostly hilltop hamlets, hidden chapels, and botanical trails brimming with local flora. We’ll stay in a cozy hotel overlooking the canyon, savor Provençal meals, and enjoy the perfect balance of exploration and relaxation.

    • On Day 1, arrive at the Marseille Airport, and we’ll come pick you up and take you to our hotel in near La Palud at 4pm. Located just a 15-minute walk away from the village, the charming hotel—our base during these 6 days—has a heated swimming pool.

La Palud-sur-Verdon is a pretty, unspoilt village in the heart of the canyon. You can enjoy a stroll through the charming village streets and visit the Castle of La Palud, which is home to the Maison des Gorges du Verdon, an eco-museum dedicated to the gorges and their natural riches. At 6pm, we’ll all meet together at the hotel and have a welcome dinner.

      Meals: Dinner
      Accommodation: Hotel Panoramic

      La Palud village
    • For the first walk, we’ll start from La Palud and climb up to the abandoned village of Chateauneuf les Moustiers. We’ll discover the history of this village perched atop a small hill, and enjoy the panoramic views from the Verdon gorges to the Mourre de Chanier and Chiran mountains. If time and weather allow, we can continue our hike beneath the village, passing under the cliff of the Roches de Notre-Dame until we reach a chapel.

      Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch
      Hiking time: 4.5 hours
      Elevation: +/-250 m (820 ft)
      Accommodation: Hotel Panoramic

      Verdon gorge river
    • Today, we’ll take a short transfer to the start of the hike. We’ll climb up the Issioule crest, and continue to the Plein voir pass. The climb offers exceptional views of the Verdon gorges and the beautiful blue Sainte-Croix lake, accompanied by the vultures that are present on the cliffs. The gorges of the Verdon are a paradise for birdwatching enthusiasts: there are griffon vultures, golden eagles, and peregrine falcons. The path continues through the forest. We’ll transfer back to the hotel at the end of the walk.

      Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch
      Hiking time: 5.5 hours
      Elevation: +/-650 m (2,132 ft)q
      Accommodation: Hotel Panoramic

      Lake Verdon
    • We’ll take a panoramic transfer to the charming village of Moustiers, known as one of the most beautiful villages in France. We’ll climb up to the chapel Notre Dame de Beauvoir, and continue towards the Belvedere Treguier with an easy panoramic hike above Moustiers. The trail starts in front of the 12th-century Sainte-Anne chapel. We’ll walk along the limestone cliffs of the surrounding area of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie before entering the forest.

On the way, we’ll follow the botanical path of Tréguier and discover various plants of the area. At the Belvedere, on a rocky peak, we’ll take in the views of the Sainte-Croix lake, the valley, and the surrounding cliffs. After lunch, we’ll walk back to Moustiers. There will be some free time to stroll in the medieval streets before a transfer back to our hotel.

      Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch
      Hiking time: 3.5 hours
      Elevation: +/-200 m (656 ft)
      Accommodation: Hotel Panoramic

      Moustiers village
    • On Day 5, we’ll depart around 11am in order to be at the Belvedere de Rancoumas in the afternoon, as the vultures can be observed mostly from mid-afternoon. There will be a short transfer to the Point Sublime, and we’ll have a picnic by the Tusset bridge. Then, we’ll start the climb to the Belvedere de Rancoumas, located at the edge of the big canyon of the Verdon.

We’ll spend an hour observing the vultures, so don’t forget your binoculars. After a walk back to Point Sublime, we’ll transfer back to the hotel.
