Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • A 7-day point-to-point journey from Dubrovnik to Istria, linking southern Dalmatia with the northern Adriatic. We ride through Ston and the Pelješac Peninsula, across the island of Brač, and inland to Knin and Plitvice Lakes before continuing to Opatija, Pula, and Rovinj. A transfer to Venice or Trieste wraps up the trip. There’s plenty of off-road riding, but this tour puts more emphasis on Croatia’s highlights and sightseeing, with a new destination every day. Best suited for riders who want off-road adventure combined with iconic Croatian destinations.

    • We set off from Dubrovnik on scenic coastal roads toward the Pelješac Peninsula, known for its rugged landscapes, traditional villages, and vineyards. Along the way, we ride through Ston, a historic town famous for its medieval defensive walls, salt pans, and maritime heritage. Continuing north across the peninsula, we rejoin the coastal road toward the Makarska Riviera, with the Adriatic on one side and the Biokovo mountains rising above the coastline. We reach Makarska in the afternoon, with time to relax along the waterfront, explore the old town, and enjoy local craft beer by the sea.

      Distance: ~150–200 km (90–120 mi)
      Meals: Snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Makarska

    • Today is dedicated to Brač, the highest island in the Adriatic. After the ferry crossing, we explore its winding roads, traditional stone villages, quiet coastal stretches, and rugged interior. We stop at scenic viewpoints and visit the island’s olive oil museum for a tasting. Brač is also famous for its white limestone, which has shaped its architecture for centuries. Later in the day, we take the ferry to Split, where there’s time to discover the city’s historic heart. Built around Diocletian’s Palace, the old town blends Roman architecture, medieval streets, and lively Mediterranean culture.

      Distance: ~120 km (75 mi) + ferry
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Split

    • Leaving the coast, we head into the Dalmatian hinterland, where busy coastal towns give way to open countryside, rocky hills, and traditional villages. Scenic backroads lead us through the interior, with views of the Dinaric mountain range and the rugged karst terrain that defines this part of Croatia. Our destination is Knin, a historic town set beneath the Dinara range and dominated by Knin Fortress, one of the largest fortresses in Croatia. Depending on arrival time, we may visit the fortress and explore the town before settling in for the evening.

      Distance: ~150–200 km (90–120 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: Hotel in Knin

      knin fortress view
    • We start the day with a chance to visit Knin Fortress and its views over the town and mountains. Then we continue north through the rugged hinterland, quiet rural areas, and forested valleys toward Lika. A highlight is the area around the former Željava military airbase near the Croatian-Bosnian border, known for its Cold War history and abandoned underground aircraft facilities. Any visit respects access restrictions and local safety guidance. Approaching Plitvice Lakes, the dry, rocky terrain of Dalmatia gives way to dense forests, rolling hills, and freshwater streams. We spend the night near the national park, ready to explore it tomorrow.

      Distance: ~150–200 km (90–120 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: Hotel near Plitvice Lakes

      croatia moto adventure
    • The morning is dedicated to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its interconnected turquoise lakes, cascading waterfalls, and wooden walkways. Depending on time and park access, we explore sections of the park on foot, a welcome break from the bike. Afterward, we ride through the green Lika region toward the coastal mountains, where the scenery opens up to views of the sea. We finish in Opatija, an elegant seaside resort once favored by European aristocracy. It’s known for its historic villas, landscaped parks, and the Lungomare promenade, perfect for an evening stroll.

      Distance: ~150 km (90 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: Hotel in Opatija

      plitvice aerial
    • After some time on Opatija’s seafront promenade, we head south into the Istrian Peninsula. Leaving the Kvarner coastline behind, scenic roads lead us through green hills, vineyards, olive groves, and traditional stone villages, a change of scenery from the mountains and rocky coast of the days before. Depending on the route and timing, we stop in picturesque inland villages along the way. We continue to Pula, a city with a remarkable Roman heritage and one of the most impressive historic centers on the Adriatic. The evening is free to explore the old town and enjoy one of Istria’s liveliest coastal cities.

      Distance: ~150–200 km (90–120 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: Hotel in Pula

      pula amphitheater
    • Our final day starts with a visit to Pula’s Roman Arena, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. We then ride to Rovinj, one of Istria’s most picturesque coastal towns, with colorful houses, narrow cobbled streets, and waterfront cafés. Its old town rises toward the Church of St. Euphemia, with views over the Adriatic and nearby islands. *After some final moments on the Croatian coast, we transfer to Venice or Trieste in Italy, bringing to a close our journey from southern Dalmatia to the northern Adriatic.

Distance: ~50 km (30 mi) + transfer to Italy
      Meals: Breakfast

*Transfer to Venice or Trieste is available only on select departures. Alternatively, the tour ends in Rovinj. Proceed to checkout to see which departures include this transfer.

    • This Croatia motorcycle tour is designed for experienced off-road riders looking for a challenging adventure. It’s not a standard motorcycle tour with occasional gravel sections: off-road riding is at the heart of the experience. We ride specially prepared, race-ready Kove 450 RALLY motorcycles with off-road tires.

Expect a wide variety of terrain, from flowing gravel roads and forest tracks to technical, rocky sections and demanding 4×4 trails, with loose rocks, baby-head rocks, and ruts along the way. Some sections can be physically demanding and technically challenging, particularly on a larger or heavier motorcycle.

Being in good physical condition is also important, as long riding days, difficult terrain, and changing weather can make the experience demanding.

Newer to off-road but keen to join? Reach out—a two-day off-road course can be arranged to set you up perfectly for the journey.

    • Both tours are 7 days/6 nights and combine off-road riding with Croatia’s landscapes and local culture. The main differences are the riding style, how flexible the route is, and the balance between off-road exploration and sightseeing.

      Dubrovnik–Istria (Adriatic coast to coast)

        • Point-to-point from southern Dalmatia to the northern Adriatic, ending with a transfer to Venice or Trieste
        • Stronger emphasis on sightseeing — historic coastal towns, islands, Plitvice Lakes National Park, and mountain landscapes
        • Less flexibility to shorten riding distances, since we reach a new destination every day
        • Best for riders who want off-road adventure combined with Croatia’s iconic destinations

      Split Coastal Loop

        • Circular route starting and ending in Split
        • Stronger focus on off-road riding, with more technical terrain and challenging tracks
        • More flexibility to lengthen or shorten selected days depending on the group’s ability, energy, and the weather
        • Best for riders who want a more off-road-focused adventure and more technical riding

Both tours are flexible. Your guides can adjust the itinerary based on the group’s experience, riding ability, and the weather: they can modify routes, choose easier or more challenging tracks where available, and adapt the daily plan to make the most of the conditions.

The key difference is that the Split Coastal Loop offers more freedom to vary daily distances, including shorter or longer riding days. The Dubrovnik–Istria tour is point-to-point, so reaching the next overnight destination remains a key part of each day’s plan. Whichever you choose, off-road riding stays at the heart of the experience.

    • This tour is best suited to intermediate to advanced off-road riders who already have experience on loose and uneven surfaces. Previous off-road experience is essential, as this isn’t a beginner course or an ideal first introduction to off-road motorcycling. You don’t need to be a professional rider, but you should have the skills, confidence, and judgment to handle challenging conditions.

This tour is a great fit if you:

        • Have solid off-road riding experience
        • Feel confident riding rough gravel, loose stones, and uneven tracks
        • Are comfortable standing on the pegs and keeping control on loose surfaces
        • Are prepared for technical and physically demanding sections
        • Want to spend most of your riding time off-road rather than on paved roads
        • Can recognize your limits and make sensible decisions when the terrain gets challenging

This tour is not suitable for complete beginners or riders whose experience is limited to paved roads and easy, maintained gravel. Not sure if you’re ready? Reach out and we’ll help you figure it out.

    • Because Croatia offers an incredible mix of terrain in a country that’s still remarkably uncrowded for off-road riding. You can cross mountains, river canyons, national parks, islands, and coastline, riding through places like Velebit, Dinara, Krka, Plitvice Lakes, Hvar, Brač, Pelješac, and Istria, often without seeing another rider.

Unlike well-known off-road hotspots in Spain, Portugal, or France, Croatia is still flying under the radar. The trails are there, the variety is unmatched, and the sense of discovery is very real. It feels like one of those places you’re lucky to experience before everyone else catches on—a country best enjoyed the long way, while it’s still quiet.

    • Off-road riding is the focus of this tour, with the exact balance depending on the day, route conditions, and the group’s ability:

        • Day 1: Approx. 70% paved roads and 30% off-road
        • Days 2–7: Typically around 40% paved roads and 60% off-road
        • Some days: Up to 90% off-road, with more technical and physically demanding terrain

These percentages are approximate and may change depending on weather, trail conditions, group ability, and route adjustments. The priority is to make the most of Croatia’s off-road riding, not simply to connect destinations by road.

    • Good adventure riding is about knowing your limits, not proving how far you can push them. Your guide assesses the terrain and the group’s ability throughout the tour. If you feel uncomfortable, or the guide decides a section isn’t suitable for your current skill level, you may be directed onto an alternative paved route to follow the support van, where one is available.

Keep in mind that not every technical section has a direct paved bypass, as this depends on the location and route. Being honest about your limits and following your guide’s instructions are essential parts of the experience.

    • Riding gear

All riders must bring their own riding gear. Proper protective equipment is essential, as this tour includes challenging off-road terrain.

        • Helmet and goggles
        • Motorcycle jacket and pants
        • Riding boots — motocross boots are strongly recommended for better off-road protection, though suitable adventure (ADV) boots are also acceptable
        • Riding gloves
        • Rain gear (if your riding gear isn’t fully waterproof)
        • Base layers (moisture-wicking, not cotton)
        • Neck buff or balaclava
        • Knee pads and light body armor — recommended for extra protection, or a motorcycle jacket with integrated armor

      Personal items & essentials

        • Casual outfits (quick-dry helps)
        • Shoes or sandals
        • Swimsuit
        • Jacket
        • Hat & sunglasses
        • Earplugs
        • Lip balm
        • Personal meds
        • Toiletries (travel size)

    • Yes, you can! To keep your Croatia motorcycle tour as smooth and hassle-free as possible, your guides can arrange a motorcycle rental for you. However, if you’d rather ride your own bike, you’re of course welcome to bring it along.

We offer the Kove 450 RALLY, a race-ready rally bike that feels just as at home on winding coastal roads as it does on gravel tracks and remote backroads. Lightweight, agile, and purpose-built for adventure, it comes with off-road tires and soft side bags/panniers. It’s available in two seat heights: the standard/high model (960 mm) and the low seat model (910 mm). Read more about its specs here.

The Kove 450 RALLY costs 140 EUR per day. If you’re interested in renting a bike with us, leave us a note at checkout with your height and weight. We’ll arrange the rental for you, and you’ll pay for it in person at the beginning of the tour.
