  • Make the impossible possible: reach the legendary Mont Blanc summit with experienced guides. The 5-day Mont Blanc program is guided by certified experts and thoughtfully designed to facilitate proper acclimatization while honing the essential techniques for summiting Mont Blanc. During the preparatory phase, you will do activities mirroring the technical demands of Mont Blanc in a condensed form, providing you with a chance to acclimate to high-altitude conditions and progressively refine your skills. This is followed by the actual Mont Blanc climb ascent, and safe return to Chamonix thereafter.

    • Please arrive in Chamonix a day prior to Day 1, as that’s a full activity day. You will meet your guides a day before Day 1 for a briefing and a gear check, and if you need to rent any gear, your guides will help you. Also make sure to book your accommodation for the night—it’s not included in the tour.

    • The initial day focuses on the approach to our acclimatization activity. The activity itself will be determined based on both the mountain conditions and your experience level. Our preferred acclimatization climbs include Arête des Cosmiques (for a more experienced group), Aiguille du Tour (for a less experienced group, longer activity, taking almost two days), or Monte Rosa. We’ll meet in Chamonix and start with a ride on the Aiguille du Midi cable car and spend the night in a high-altitude mountain hut. Expect 6 hours of hiking.

      Meals: Dinner
      Activity: 6 hrs of hiking
      Accommodation: High-altitude Alpine hut

    • We’ll start the day with breakfast at the mountain refuge, our overnight accommodation. Following that, we’ll embark on our daily climbing activity, which will occupy us throughout the day. Once the day’s complete, we’ll descend via cable car and return to Chamonix. Please make your own accommodation reservations for the second night in Chamonix.

      Meals: Breakfast
      Activity: 6 hrs of hiking
      Accommodation: Your own, in Chamonix

      Aiguille du Midi climb
    • We’ll meet in Chamonix, or at the Bellevue cable car parking in Les Houches. The morning allows for backpack preparation and last-minute shopping. After a gear check, we’ll take the cable car to Bellevue (at 1,794 m / 5,900 ft) connecting with the Mont Blanc rack railway to Nid d’Aigle (at 2,362 m / 7,750 ft), the start of our journey.

From Nid d’Aigle, a 3 to 4-hour, 800-meter elevation gain approach leads us to the Tête Rousse refuge (at 3,165 m / 10,380 ft), adjacent to the glacier of the same name. The presence of snow depends on the season, beginning either at the train’s terminus or remaining dry until reaching the refuge.

      Meals: Dinner
Activity: 3-4 hrs of hiking, 3,5 km / 2.2 miles
      Elevation gain: +800 m (+2,620 ft)
      Accommodation: Tête Rousse Refuge

      Mont Blanc tramway
    • At 4am, after a short night, we’ll begin our challenging climb. Equipped with necessary gear, we will ascend through glacial terrain, passing key landmarks like Dôme de Goûter and Les Bosses peaks, before reaching the Mont Blanc summit at 4,810 m (15,775 ft)! The goal–achieved. You can do the celebratory dance, take photos, soak it all in, and head back. The return journey follows the same route to the Goûter Refuge at 3,815 m (12,500 ft) for the night.

      Meals: Breakfast & dinner
Activity: 8 hrs of hiking, 12 km / 7.5 miles
      Elevation gain: +1,650 m / -975 m (+5,400 ft / -3,200 ft)
      Accommodation: Goûter Refuge

    • On our final day, we’ll wake up early to start the descent. It’s advisable to descend swiftly, reaching the “bowling alley” promptly to minimize risks. Once past this area, dangers decrease significantly. We’ll pass by the Tête Rousse refuge, offering the option to pause or continue to the Nid d’Aigle train station (2,362 m / 7,750 ft).

In the event of any previous summit attempts falling short due to reasons like altitude sickness or weather, this day provides another chance. Early wake up is crucial for that potential last ascent and descent.

      Meals: Breakfast
Activity: 5 hrs of hiking, 7 km / 4.3 miles
      Elevation gain: -1,455 m (-4,770 ft)

    • Climbing Mont Blanc is not very difficult technically, but you need to have a good level of cardio and be able to hike an altitude of 1,000 m a day, at times with crampons on rocks and snow.

Basic mountaineering experience is necessary, Although not mandatory, it is desirable to have some experience with crampon and axe usage.

The acclimatization climb, in addition to acclimatization itself, will help you improve your skills and prepare for the actual Mont Blanc climb. After booking your trip, you will receive a workout plan to prepare in the weeks before the climb, and a kit list with everything you need for the 5 days of activity.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Lightweight backpack (max weight of 7 kg)
        • Type B2 or B3 boots with suitable crampons
        • 60cm hiking ice ax
        • Walking poles
        • Thermal and waterproof clothing
        • Lightweight harness
        • Helmet
        • Winter goggles
        • Sunglasses

Note: upon booking your trip, we will provide you with a comprehensive kit list. If you find an item missing from the list, we’ll advise you on where to rent it at a reasonable price in Chamonix.

    • Once you book the trip, you’ll receive a gear list. If you need to rent equipment, your guides will provide cost-effective recommendations once you’re in Chamonix.

    • If a group of two needs to bail because one participant cannot continue, the entire group must descend together. Sometimes, during the first two days of acclimatization, your guides will notice that a participant might not be ready for Mont Blanc. In such cases, your guides suggest that this person climbs with the group up to Tête Russe and wait at the hut for a day while the rest of the group attempts the summit. This way, they still get a taste of the Mont Blanc experience. After Tête Rousse, it becomes more challenging if someone isn’t ready to reach the summit.
