If you need a bit more privacy on this e-bike tour, you can have a room to yourself for an additional fee. If so, please choose a single supplement here.

If you’re not bringing your own e-bike, there’s an option to rent one for the whole duration of the tour. With this e-bike rental, you also get a helmet and a repair kit.

All meals indicated in the itinerary are included in the price of this trip. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated, please let us know down below if you have any.

Deposits

When booking a trip, you can either pay for it in full or reserve your spot with a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% of the trip price is to be paid 90 days prior to departure, at the latest.

Cancellations

After 48 hours, booking fees are non-refundable in all cases. You can choose one of 57hours’ flexibility options:

  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a 70% refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled within 59 days of departure, no refund will be issued.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable after a 48-hour grace period.

  • If canceled within 48 hours of booking, a full refund will be issued.
  • If canceled 60 or more days before departure, a full refund of the total trip price will be issued.
  • If canceled 30-59 days before departure, a 50% refund of the total trip price will be issued.

  • Embark on a 3-day escape in Briançon, where e-mountain biking meets stunning beauty! We’ll navigate picturesque trails, climb scenic heights, and wind through vibrant valleys. Our journey kicks off at the iconic Col du Lautaret and continues to the serene Clarée Valley, ending on a high note along the French-Italian border. With breathtaking views, delicious meals, and plenty of good vibes, this trip is designed for those eager to embrace the great outdoors. Let’s hit the trails and discover the magic of mountain biking together!

    • For the first day of this introductory course in Serre Chevalier, we’ll meet up at the train station in Briançon and transfer to the Guisane valley. Today is the chance to slowly get acclimatized. We’ll set off for a 10-km / 6.2-mile ride up to the highest point of the day, the Col du Lautaret (2,042 m / 6,700 ft), an approximately 600 m / 1,968 ft progressive uphill ride among splendid scenery that will enable us to get familiar with our e-bikes and the different levels of assistance.

      After a coffee break, we’ll head off and have several itinerary options depending on everyone’s wishes and energy. Then it’s back to Briançon for a thirst-quenching debrief.

      Briancon e-mtb tour
    • On Day 2, we’ll set off to discover another valley in the Briançon area, the authentic and well-preserved Clarée valley. A nice and long day awaits us, and we will be able to check out how long our batteries hold. We’ll head up to the top of the valley, approximately 10-15 kms (6.9-9.3 ft) of progressive uphill riding that’s accessible to everyone.

      For the descent, things are pretty straightforward. We’ll have 10-15 kms (6.9-9.3 ft) of fun downhill riding amidst some awesome landscapes.

    • We’ll start early in the morning to make the most of our last day together. Today we’re riding on the French-Italian borderline, from Montgenèvre or Cervières, amidst amazing scenery, with exceptionally good e-mountain biking terrain. Because good food is important, we’ll be taking an Italian break at the Mautino refuge. Be ready for an imminent landing at the gelateria for home-made ice cream in Briançon!

    • This Briançon e-mtb tour is open to all, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, or if you’ve never or rarely practiced mountain biking and electric biking. The technical elements necessary to ride downhill and uphill on rolling trails will be covered. You will ride mainly on 4×4 tracks, and bike for up to 25 km / 15.5 miles each day. Count on positive differences in altitude between 600 m / 1,968 ft and 1000 m / 3,280 ft per day.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

      Technical gear:

        • Fully charged e-bike with flat pedals
        • Backpack — maximum 20-25L capacity
        • Helmet
        • Sunglasses
        • MTB gloves
        • Knee and elbow protector
        • Low hiking shoes with flat soles, or shoes with clip-in pedals
        • Repair kit including:
          • a set of brake pads (that match your brakes)
          • a spare derailleur hanger
          • a quick link for your own chain
          • a pump
          • self-adhesive patches
          • inner tubes with the right dimensions
          • anything else that may be specific to your bike

      Clothes:

        • Sunglasses and glasses with clear lenses for forest sections and cloudy days
        • Buff and/or thin beanie
        • Breathable long-sleeved top & leggings (merino wool is recommended)
        • Light fleece jacket and/or light hooded down jacket (soft shell or GoreTex)
        • Mountain biking shorts and leggings
        • Light fleece or soft shell gloves
        • Silk glove liners
        • Warm gloves with a breathable and waterproof membrane
        • Extra t-shirt — optional, but recommended
        • Bike socks (merino wool is recommended)
        • Slippers or crocs for evening wear

      Accessories & other items:

        • 1L flask — thermos or Camelbak
        • Pocket knife
        • Duck tape
        • Factor 50 sunscreen
        • Duffel bag that holds up to 90L — suitcases are not recommended
        • Toiletries and first aid kit

      If you don’t have any of the required gear, you can rent an e-MTB pack, including a repair kit and helmet, from your guides.

      Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and pricing

        • For this Briançon e-MTB tour, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 5:1 to 8:1.
        • It takes a minimum of 5 people for this tour to operate. The maximum group size is set at 12 participants.

      Briançon e-MTB tours can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors younger than 18 may be permitted to join the Briançon e-MTB tour on a case-by-case basis, but must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

      If your group has bikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • To get to Briançon, most people fly into Turin (TRN) Airport. From there, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service to reach Briançon.

      Once you’re there, you’ll meet your guides in Briançon in front of the Train Station at 9 am OR in Cervières in front of their mountain lodge “Le Petit Cerf” at 9:15am.

      NOTE: Make sure to arrive at your chosen meeting point well in advance.

    • We highly recommend that you cover all your bases with both emergency medical and travel insurance.

      With medical insurance, if you have an accident or medical emergency on or off the mountain, you’ll avoid paying out of pocket for costly expenses. This covers everything from hospital treatments to emergency air transportation and more. Travel insurance covers canceled flights, natural disasters and other scenarios that may interrupt your travel plans.
