  • With this perfect 8-day itinerary, discovering the magic of the Amalfi Coast has never been easier. Join this kayaking adventure along the Italian Riviera and let an expert guide lead the way—not only to the best natural marvels, but also to the best restaurants, viewpoints, and gelaterias. You’ll see all the iconic spots from the sea—Positano, Salerno, Capri, just to name a few—but you will also get to explore these fascinating spots on foot (as well as the legendary Pompeii). Beginner and family-friendly, there’s nothing stopping you from spending your next vacation on the legendary Italian coastline. Buon viaggio!

    • Your Amalfi adventure officially begins at 10 am at the Naples Train Station Stazione Centrale (Piazza Garibaldi). From there, head to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius, the famous site of the tragic volcanic eruption burying Pompeii and neighboring Herculaneum in 79 AD. Go on a tour of Pompeii and learn interesting facts about the most famous volcanic eruption in history.

Shuttle down to Amalfi, where you will have some free time in the afternoon to explore the town and have lunch. As the day draws to a close, meet up with your guide and your team for a welcome dinner, which is when you’ll enjoy the incredible Italian culture, have a drink, and begin to know one another. Review the itinerary for the week and your guides will answer whatever questions you may have.

    • After breakfast, everyone will be outfitted with a paddle, PFD, and a sprayskirt, then head across the street to the beach where you will be provided with basic kayaking instruction. Once you’ve gained a comfortable level handling your kayaks, head off along the Amalfi Coast towards Salerno.

Lunch will be enjoyed in Minori or Maiori, two neighboring communities which will give you a taste of life on the Amalfi Coast. A wonderful dryland treat is the open air Villa Museum in Minori, featuring a well-preserved villa and numerous artifacts revealing traditions and way of life on the coast hundreds of years ago. Return to Amalfi, relax, and soak in the beautiful views. End the day by exploring the famous narrow streets of Ravello.

    • Depart from Positano and head along the coastline to Recommone. Today’s paddle will take you away from the popular spots and along a stretch of the remote Amalfi coastline. The steep countryside of the area will offer you a glimpse of the region that is untouched by the hand of development. Ancient towers that were once occupied by the world of emperors are now the only remaining structures.

Arrive in Recommone, your final destination, which offers a truly remote and rural setting. This water-access-only village is hard to find on most maps, but it offers an authentic Italian experience and luxury. You will spend two nights here.
