All-Star Grand Canyon Tours
  • You’re about to venture deep into the Canyon, which 98% of Grand Canyon’s visitors miss out on. With numerous options available, you can expect more than 8 hours of hiking, giving you a chance to experience this geologic marvel of red rocks up close. Expect only the best out of this luxurious custom tour: after choosing your preferred route with your guide, cruise through the Canyon in a spacious SUV, and stop for a delicious lunch mid-hike!

    • 57hours is committed to providing safe outdoor adventure experiences. We require all guides using our platform to have a COVID-19 safety plan and to make the details of that plan accessible to travelers. In most cases, group sizes will be reduced, guides will avoid overcrowded locations, and other safety measures will be met depending on the location and activity.

We also expect clients to respect local regulations and take measures to protect themselves, their guides, and the communities they’re traveling to. For more information on COVID-19 measures in the Grand Canyon, AZ, please refer to Arizona’s travel advisories.

Please contact us if you have any questions or require further information. We are happy to provide you with the most up-to-date information!

    • The best thing about hiking tours in the Grand Canyon is that there are incredible options for all skill levels. For beginner hikes, if you can walk around 4 hours with little elevation gain, you are good to go! Intermediate hikes in the Grand Canyon will see a little more change in elevation and hikes will start to increase in length, hiking anywhere between four to five hours. Advanced hikes are full-day treks, meaning at least 8 hours, with steep descents and challenging switchbacks.
Keep in mind, the weather in summer can be very hot and you’ll also be packing a daypack filled with water and other things you’ll need throughout the day. Hikers who venture into the interior of the Canyon from May through September can expect daytime temperatures to regularly exceed 100°F (38°C), and may even climb above 120°F (49°C) during the hottest days in the summer. Such conditions will challenge even strong and fit individuals, so be ready.

    • Here’s a list of the equipment you need to bring:

        • Day pack large enough to carry all the items listed (around a 25-40L bag)
        • Water bottle or hydration bladder (2L capacity)
        • Lightweight hiking boots or shoes
        • Wide-brimmed hat
        • Spare clothes for layering
        • For the warm season — light-colored t-shirt (cotton or synthetic), shorts or comfortable pants, light-colored long-sleeved shirt
        • For the cool season — waterproof rain jacket and pants, long pants and shirt, thermal underwear, synthetic clothing, warm hat, gloves, layers
        • Toiletries (sunscreen, lip balm with SPF, hand sanitizer, bug spray, etc.)
        • Sunglasses
        • Camera — optional (but recommended)

Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

    • Group sizes and prices:

        • For the regular hiking tours of the Grand Canyon, the usual client-to guide ratio is 10:1. At least two persons have to sign up in order for the tour to happen.
        • For the luxury hiking tours of the Grand Canyon, the usual client-to-guide ratio is 7:1. If there’s 8 or more people in your group, two guides will accompany the group!
        • The cost per person decreases as the group grows, so it’s the perfect opportunity to hike with friends and family! Maximum group size is 10.

Private hiking tours in the Grand Canyon can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements.

      Min. age requirements:

        • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
        • Minors older than 7 may join beginner hikes, while minors over the age of 12 may join the intermediate day hikes. For the advanced tour, minors older than 16 can go hiking. They must be in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.

If your group has hikers under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

    • Most people fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International. Your guides will pick you up from Flagstaff, Williams, Tusayan, or Grand Canyon Village. From the airport, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service to one of the towns listed above.

Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet.
