Cancellation policy

The percentages in the table above are of the full trip price, not of what you’ve paid at the time of booking.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking receive a full refund on all plans, including booking fees and insurance. After the 48-hour window, your refund depends on your selected protection plan and when you cancel. Core and Premium plans extend your cancellation rights beyond the Standard policy:

  • With Core, a covered reason gets you 75% of your trip cost back — even the day before you go.
  • With Premium, a covered reason gets you 100% of your trip cost back — and any other reason gets you 75%, right up to the day you leave.
What counts as a covered reason
  • Sudden illness or injury — yours, a travel companion’s, or an immediate family member’s, confirmed by a doctor
  • Death of a traveler or an immediate family member
  • A natural disaster affecting your destination or your departure point
  • A government travel advisory against travel to your destination

Changing your mind isn’t a covered reason. Premium is the only plan that covers that. Documentation is required for all insurance claims.

Everything the travel insurance covers

Both plans include travel insurance through Redpoint Travel Protection. Core insures 75% of your trip cost; Premium insures 100%.

Maximum per person:

  • Trip cancellation — up to 100% of your trip cost
  • Cancel for any reason — up to 75% of your trip cost (Premium only)
  • Trip interruption — 150% of the trip cost limit
  • Trip delay — $200 a day, $1,000 max
  • Itinerary change — $250
  • Single occupancy supplement — up to 100% of trip cost
  • Missed connection — $1,000
  • Travel inconvenience — $250 each, $750 max
  • Pet return — $1,000 per pet
  • Baggage and personal effects — $2,500, max $300 an item
  • Baggage delay — $600, after 12 hours
  • Baggage delivery — $100 per trip
  • Emergency medical expenses — $100,000
  • Medical evacuation and repatriation — up to $1,000,000

These are maximums. What a claim actually pays depends on what you can document and on the policy’s exclusions — pre-existing conditions and undeclared activities among them. We’ll send the full policy wording with your confirmation.

  • A 7-day loop starting and ending in Split, built for riders who want as much off-road time as possible. We head inland through the Krka region and into the Velebit and Dinara mountains, including the legendary Majstorska cesta, before dropping to the Makarska Riviera and crossing to Hvar for its hidden island trails. The loop format gives us more flexibility to lengthen or shorten selected days and seek out technical terrain, depending on the group’s ability, energy, and the weather. Best suited for riders who want a more off-road-focused adventure.

    • We leave Split’s busy roads behind and head into the rugged Dalmatian hinterland, combining winding backroads, rural tracks, and rocky gravel sections. Our warm-up ride takes us through traditional villages, olive groves, and dry-stone landscapes, with views toward the Adriatic. As the day unfolds, we make our way north to Šibenik, one of Dalmatia’s most charming historic towns and home to the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St. James, celebrated for its extraordinary stone architecture. After checking in, there’s time to explore the old town, catch the sunset along the waterfront, and dig into the local food scene.

      Distance: ~80–160 km (50–100 mi)
      Meals: Snacks, dinner
Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Šibenik old town

      sibenik coastal view
    • Leaving Šibenik, we head inland through the countryside around the Krka River on a mix of quiet country roads, gravel routes, and off-road tracks. The route crosses the wider Krka National Park region, with stops at scenic viewpoints and accessible park sites. The river’s emerald pools, waterfalls, and deep canyon make a striking contrast to the dry, rocky plateau around it. We then continue to Knin, a historic town surrounded by mountains and dominated by its medieval fortress. In the evening, we relax over a traditional Dalmatian dinner before the more demanding mountain riding ahead.

      Distance: ~115–145 km (70–90 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: Family-run hotel in Knin

      knin fortress view
    • One of the signature days of the tour, today is a full-day loop from Knin toward the Velebit range, where open landscapes, rugged peaks, and remote mountain roads create a true sense of exploration. The highlight is Majstorska cesta, a 19th-century mountain road whose historic stonework and sweeping bends cross Velebit with views over the rocky peaks toward the Adriatic. Depending on conditions and the group’s experience, we link it with gravel routes, rocky tracks, and scenic detours, stopping often for photos and the silence of the mountains before looping back to Knin.

      Distance: ~175 km (110 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: Family-run hotel in Knin

      hilly croatia motorcycling
    • We ride out of Knin into the wild landscapes around Dinara, Croatia’s highest mountain massif, with rocky slopes, open plateaus, and sweeping views across the Dinaric Alps. Today is all about the Dalmatian hinterland, combining remote gravel roads, rocky tracks, and more challenging off-road sections wherever conditions and the group’s ability allow. Heading south, the mountains give way to the Cetina River region before we reach the coast at Makarska, where the Biokovo mountains rise above the Adriatic. In the evening, we relax by the waterfront, explore the old town, and enjoy traditional Dalmatian cuisine.

      Distance: ~150–200 km (95–125 mi)
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Makarska

      aerial view of makarska
    • We follow the Dalmatian coastline south toward Drvenik, with the Adriatic beside us and the Biokovo mountains behind. Where conditions and the group’s ability allow, we add off-road sections along the way. From Drvenik, a ferry takes us to Hvar, where we leave the busiest routes behind on winding roads and rural tracks through stone villages, olive groves, and vineyards. We cross the island to Stari Grad, one of Croatia’s oldest towns, beside the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain. This ancient farming landscape dates back to Greek colonization in the 4th century BC. The evening brings local seafood and Hvar wines.

Distance: Varies depending on the route + ferry
      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Stari Grad, Hvar

      hvar croatia view
    • Our final riding day shows a quieter side of Hvar. We head toward the island’s west side on small rural roads and carefully selected, legally accessible tracks, past secluded coves, old stone walls, pine woodland, and traditional farming settlements. Depending on the terrain and the group’s ability, the route can include narrow gravel lanes, rocky tracks, and more technical sections. Since it’s a loop, we can shorten it or extend it into more off-road terrain. Along the way, we taste local olive oil, seasonal produce, and Hvar wines before the afternoon ferry back to Split, where we celebrate the journey.

      Meals: Breakfast, snacks, dinner
      Accommodation: 4-star hotel in Split

    • After six days of riding, we wrap up with a relaxed breakfast in Split. There’s free time to explore the historic old town, stroll along the waterfront, or enjoy one last Croatian coffee by the sea before the tour officially ends.

      Meals: Breakfast

        • Guide gratuities — optional, 10–15% recommended
    • This Croatia motorcycle tour is designed for experienced off-road riders looking for a challenging adventure. It’s not a standard motorcycle tour with occasional gravel sections: off-road riding is at the heart of the experience. We ride specially prepared, race-ready Kove 450 RALLY motorcycles with off-road tires.

Expect a wide variety of terrain, from flowing gravel roads and forest tracks to technical, rocky sections and demanding 4×4 trails, with loose rocks, baby-head rocks, and ruts along the way. Some sections can be physically demanding and technically challenging, particularly on a larger or heavier motorcycle.

Being in good physical condition is also important, as long riding days, difficult terrain, and changing weather can make the experience demanding.

Newer to off-road but keen to join? Reach out—a two-day off-road course can be arranged to set you up perfectly for the journey.

    • Both tours are 7 days/6 nights and combine off-road riding with Croatia’s landscapes and local culture. The main differences are the riding style, how flexible the route is, and the balance between off-road exploration and sightseeing.

      Dubrovnik–Istria (Adriatic coast to coast)

        • Point-to-point from southern Dalmatia to the northern Adriatic, ending with a transfer to Venice or Trieste
        • Stronger emphasis on sightseeing — historic coastal towns, islands, Plitvice Lakes National Park, and mountain landscapes
        • Less flexibility to shorten riding distances, since we reach a new destination every day
        • Best for riders who want off-road adventure combined with Croatia’s iconic destinations

      Split Coastal Loop

        • Circular route starting and ending in Split
        • Stronger focus on off-road riding, with more technical terrain and challenging tracks
        • More flexibility to lengthen or shorten selected days depending on the group’s ability, energy, and the weather
        • Best for riders who want a more off-road-focused adventure and more technical riding

Both tours are flexible. Your guides can adjust the itinerary based on the group’s experience, riding ability, and the weather: they can modify routes, choose easier or more challenging tracks where available, and adapt the daily plan to make the most of the conditions.

The key difference is that the Split Coastal Loop offers more freedom to vary daily distances, including shorter or longer riding days. The Dubrovnik–Istria tour is point-to-point, so reaching the next overnight destination remains a key part of each day’s plan. Whichever you choose, off-road riding stays at the heart of the experience.

    • This tour is best suited to intermediate to advanced off-road riders who already have experience on loose and uneven surfaces. Previous off-road experience is essential, as this isn’t a beginner course or an ideal first introduction to off-road motorcycling. You don’t need to be a professional rider, but you should have the skills, confidence, and judgment to handle challenging conditions.

This tour is a great fit if you:

        • Have solid off-road riding experience
        • Feel confident riding rough gravel, loose stones, and uneven tracks
        • Are comfortable standing on the pegs and keeping control on loose surfaces
        • Are prepared for technical and physically demanding sections
        • Want to spend most of your riding time off-road rather than on paved roads
        • Can recognize your limits and make sensible decisions when the terrain gets challenging

This tour is not suitable for complete beginners or riders whose experience is limited to paved roads and easy, maintained gravel. Not sure if you’re ready? Reach out and we’ll help you figure it out.

    • Because Croatia offers an incredible mix of terrain in a country that’s still remarkably uncrowded for off-road riding. You can cross mountains, river canyons, national parks, islands, and coastline, riding through places like Velebit, Dinara, Krka, Plitvice Lakes, Hvar, Brač, Pelješac, and Istria, often without seeing another rider.

Unlike well-known off-road hotspots in Spain, Portugal, or France, Croatia is still flying under the radar. The trails are there, the variety is unmatched, and the sense of discovery is very real. It feels like one of those places you’re lucky to experience before everyone else catches on—a country best enjoyed the long way, while it’s still quiet.

    • Off-road riding is the focus of this tour, with the exact balance depending on the day, route conditions, and the group’s ability:

        • Day 1: Approx. 70% paved roads and 30% off-road
        • Days 2–7: Typically around 40% paved roads and 60% off-road
        • Some days: Up to 90% off-road, with more technical and physically demanding terrain

These percentages are approximate and may change depending on weather, trail conditions, group ability, and route adjustments. The priority is to make the most of Croatia’s off-road riding, not simply to connect destinations by road.

    • Good adventure riding is about knowing your limits, not proving how far you can push them. Your guide assesses the terrain and the group’s ability throughout the tour. If you feel uncomfortable, or the guide decides a section isn’t suitable for your current skill level, you may be directed onto an alternative paved route to follow the support van, where one is available.

Keep in mind that not every technical section has a direct paved bypass, as this depends on the location and route. Being honest about your limits and following your guide’s instructions are essential parts of the experience.

    • Riding gear

All riders must bring their own riding gear. Proper protective equipment is essential, as this tour includes challenging off-road terrain.

        • Helmet and goggles
        • Motorcycle jacket and pants
        • Riding boots — motocross boots are strongly recommended for better off-road protection, though suitable adventure (ADV) boots are also acceptable
        • Riding gloves
        • Rain gear (if your riding gear isn’t fully waterproof)
        • Base layers (moisture-wicking, not cotton)
        • Neck buff or balaclava
        • Knee pads and light body armor — recommended for extra protection, or a motorcycle jacket with integrated armor

      Personal items & essentials

        • Casual outfits (quick-dry helps)
        • Shoes or sandals
        • Swimsuit
        • Jacket
        • Hat & sunglasses
        • Earplugs
        • Lip balm
        • Personal meds
        • Toiletries (travel size)

    • Yes, you can! To keep your Croatia motorcycle tour as smooth and hassle-free as possible, your guides can arrange a motorcycle rental for you. However, if you’d rather ride your own bike, you’re of course welcome to bring it along.

We offer the Kove 450 RALLY, a race-ready rally bike that feels just as at home on winding coastal roads as it does on gravel tracks and remote backroads. Lightweight, agile, and purpose-built for adventure, it comes with off-road tires and soft side bags/panniers. It’s available in two seat heights: the standard/high model (960 mm) and the low seat model (910 mm). Read more about its specs here.

The Kove 450 RALLY costs 140 EUR per day. If you’re interested in renting a bike with us, leave us a note at checkout with your height and weight. We’ll arrange the rental for you, and you’ll pay for it in person at the beginning of the tour.
