    • After we pick you up at your hotel at 8 am, we’ll start a beautiful journey across the Great Rift Valley for a full day game drive. Although small in dimension, this park has breathtaking scenery and is famous for its lush acacia forest, giant figs and mahogany trees, as well as a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. Permanent residents of this park also include giraffes, elephants, impalas and a huge amount of buffaloes. The lake is also home to a large number of hippos. The landscapes of Lake Manyara are something that can not be described in words, and the wildlife along the lake provides stunning photo opportunities.

    • After an early breakfast, depart towards the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. The drive itself, although long, is spectacular. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why its name can be translated to “endless plains.” The park has 14,763 sq km and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the Great Migration and to 2 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes. As for the big cats and small predators, it’s the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, with many television scenes like the famous river crossings having been filmed in this park.

For example, on this day, we could do a morning drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon wildlife spotting drive, or we could do a full day drive with a picnic lunch.

After the drive, we return to the camp for a rewarding brunch and proceed to Ngorongoro Crater, the 8th wonder of the Natural World. This crater spreads for 265 sq km and has 610 m/ 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually a Noah’s ark, containing almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro is truly a Wonder of the Natural World.

Optional: Visit the Olduvai Gorge, a historical site where the fossils of Homo sapiens and Zinjathropus were discovered in 1954 by Dr. Leakey. The first upright human footprints were discovered  at Laetoli site, estimated to be 3.5 million years old.

    • Generally, Tanzania is a dream destination for wildlife enthusiasts. With abundant national parks such as the Serengeti, you have the opportunity to witness an incredible array of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, rhinos, lions, leopards and elephants. Going on a safari with experienced guides can ensure a well-planned experience. The more days you spend in the wilderness, the better are your chances of spotting diverse animals.

    • The best time to go on a safari depends on your wishes and expectations. Tanzania offers great opportunities year-round. The Great Migration usually happens November to June, with the exact timing depending on the species and distinct herds. The dry season from June to October is also great for wildlife watching when animals congregate around water sources, making it easier to spot them.

June through October are the most popular months for safari as they offer pleasant weather with lower humidity. You can expect rain torrents from March to May and occasional short rainstorms from November to December. Rain can make the roads muddy and occasionally inaccessible.
