Epic Adventures in Chamonix

This was my first travel experience planned by someone else. It was such a treat. Your investment in my experience showed in the accommodations you selected, the scouting of the walks themselves and I absolutely loved the body work. That was something that really set it apart from other experiences/retreats I have participated in.

I booked a wild camping tour with Exped Tribe and it was worth every penny. The team knows what they are doing and organized the tour very well. The camping was not only uniquely beautiful in the wild nature, but also very informative regarding useful camping knowledge and what to look out for. Thank you very much again.

Guided hiking trip to Greenland’s fjords organized by Arctic Hiking and Expeditions, was a beautiful and immersive experience in Greenland’s untouched wilderness. The choice of trails allowed us to witness the diversity of Greenland’s terrain, despite the remoteness of the locations, the logistical and safety arrangements were seamless. The itinerary allowed for a balance of challenging hikes and leisurely strolls, catering to both seasoned hikers and those seeking a more relaxed pace. If you’re seeking a journey that transcends the ordinary and connects you with nature, this trip is an absolute must.

We had a wonderful time on the TMB. Cloud 9 was very well organized and communicative throughout the process, from preparation through the actual tour. Our guide, Gary Daines, was superb. He is extremely knowledgeable and made each day of the tour a pleasure. In addition to his guiding expertise, Gary is a great photographer and provided a wonderful record of our group experience.

We had an incredible experience with Lasting Adventures! It was our first visit to Yosemite and kicking off the trip with a guided hike was perfect. It was just our group of 4 (me, my husband, and 2 friends) which was great because we got to ask lots of questions and take the day at our preferred pace. Our guide, Michael, was absolutely wonderful – very welcoming and easy to get along with! He is so knowledgable about the park, its history, and the nature and wildlife. He came well-prepared with sunscreen, bug spray, and extra water and snacks for all. And he took a bunch of quality photos of our group! The hike included a great mix of epic sights from higher elevations, and provided us with a nice overview of Yosemite, as well as ideas for other hikes to do on our own during the rest of our trip. I highly recommend Lasting Adventures for your trip to Yosemite. We were blown away!

We were a group of 7 family members (ages 22-65 years old), for all of us was our first hiking/backpacking/camping experience. We all have such an amazing yet challenging experience, it was really worthy! I chose the Hidden Yosemite trip and joined two other Washingtonians that I hike with regularly. What an incredible trip. First and foremost, our guides Will and Bella were awesome. They kept us well fed, educated on the history of Yosemite. Who knew that the white powder on an aspen tree could be used as sunscreen? They made the whole journey memorable. Steve, We so enjoyed our guided hike with you. You truly have a gift for bringing the nature, history and folklore of Big Sur to life. The hidden untrampled pockets you showed us and the entertaining and interesting stories made our time in Big Sur all the more magical.

My husband and I did the 7-day self guided tour through Nuyama. We had a great time and we really appreciated all the care Nuyama put into getting us prepared for our adventure! The guidebook and itinerary were perfect! The places they chose for us to stay were all great, and the food was delicious. It was just what we hoped it would be. My family and I did Kakadu and Litchfield national park hiking tour. We had the most incredible experience. I would highly recommend to anyone considering doing this tour. Our guides Sam and Lorinda always made sure we were full of information. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, I would do it again in a heart beat.

Excellent trek for novices and more experienced walkers alike. Completed this walk early June and would highly recommend Park Trek for the way it was organised and catered for. Couldn’t have had better tour guides than Ann and Angie who prepared and cooked meals each evening and lead us on fantastic walks during the day. Good quality produce was supplied for us to make breakfasts and lunches. Safety and self care were always a priority which made us feel comfortable and confident as this was our first group walking trip. Saw lots of wildlife and spectacular scenery on this tour and walked interesting terrain including gorges and a climb up a gap at Wilpena Pound before walking across the Pound floor. Accommodation exceeded our expectations – the cabins were spacious, well equipped and warm.

Park Trek Walking Holidays were fantastic! I hope to do more walks with this group of helpful attentive fun people. They made our trip extra special with their helpful and knowledgeable guidance. Nothing was a drama and we were kept informed and care for the whole time.

Andrea was an amazing guide. She made this beautiful island safe and fun for our entire group. She prepared wonderful food including the best chicken I have ever eaten, along with various sandwiches, cheeses, fruits, for our time on the trails. She was prompt, thoughtful and thorough. I only have positive feedback for Andrea and would love to meet up with her again someday.

If you are looking for an unforgettable tour of the Larapinta Trail, we did a 5-day Larapinta Trail tour. It’s one of the most iconic Australian tour companies that allows you to see the best on this trail. In addition, they have their permanent campsite, and the evenings were outstanding. A big thanks to Don, he is one the best expert in Larapinta Trail.

Ben and Shaun were exceptional guides. Very knowledgeable of the track, history, flora, fauna and wildlife. The equipment provided was easy to set up. The meals Ben whipped up for us was delicious. I highly recommend Wilderness Expeditions and these two fit young men as guides

Bine was amazing!! He was very knowledgeable, offered lots of guidance to less-experienced and more-experienced hikers alike. He gave safety the highest priority.

I recently returned from an incredible journey to East Greenland with Amarok. Our guides, Monica and Albert, were truly exceptional (knowledgeable & professional), and the boat crew exceeded my expectations (from great sailing to amazing cooking skills). What made this trip even more special was the perfect weather we experienced, allowing us to explore some of the most breathtaking landscapes I’ve ever encountered and finding nobody else around us! It’s worth noting that we were in Polar Bear territory, but thanks to the diligent safety measures taken by our guides throughout the journey, we always felt completely secure. Already planning a new trip with them! Can’t wait!

We just completed a tour with Einar Finnsson (Arctic Hiking and Expeditions). I have been on two tours with Einar. Both were with groups of university students of about 12 students. The first tour was to the village of Kulusuk in Greenland (Spring 2019) and the second was to northern part of Iceland (Jan 2022). Both trips were incredible. In Greenland we lived in the small village of Kulusuk which only has a population of a couple hundred people, and a bunch of sled dogs. There we went snow shoeing and dog sledding. Every night we were there we watched the northern lights from our deck. It was a great trip to get away from cities, people, technology and just enjoy the nature of Greenland.

Einar was an excellent guide and tailored our tours to our interests and number of days we had available. The was some inclement weather so we switched some of the days around. Every day of the 6-day trip Einar presented us with interesting information during our transport. He really knows Icelandic history, folklore, geology, geothermal etc. Einar is friendly, he pays attention to detail and he is a good story teller. And he provides awesome customs adventures. We will definitely design and experience another tour with Arctic Hiking and Expeditions.

Such thorough, safe planning! Real pros and really fun! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

Teresa is a wonderful guide – we did the ‘Renaissance Walk’ and were truly impressed. We have done many walking tours in lots of different countries and this was the most unique and memorable. We would not have been able to find these hidden treasures ourselves. Teresa has the knowledge of a local whilst keeping the freshness of an outsider perspective. She is also a professional photographer and took some amazing photos of us on the walk which made the experience even more special. She is a very kind person and went out of her way both before and after the tour to give us tips and recommendations for what we needed. Highly recommended!
