Meet your guide in the Tuolumne Meadows Wilderness Permit Center parking area at 12 pm. Get acquainted with the group and your gear while eating the lunch you brought for day one. Hike six easy miles out of Tuolumne Meadows and north towards the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne—a dramatic glacier-cut river canyon. This gradual downhill hike meanders through alpine meadows and across massive granite slabs. Set up camp at the Glen Aulin High Sierra Camp (7,980′) next to a pristine swimming hole. The total mileage today is approximately six miles.
